NEW PLAYERS

Welcome to Aion Teleos! This is our CR meme, for old and new players alike to introduce themselves and to begin plotting for the month ahead. As you're settling into the game, here are a few things you should note:

❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:

◆ SECT ATTUNEMENT: New characters will have to declare their sect attunements on the Attunement page. Those who are starting in the Kenoma will be attuned as of the start of their introduction, but those who have been taken by the Pleroma may take up until the end of the month to do so. Alternatively, they can attune almost immediately if they are unconflicted about their desire to fight the Regent. The main restriction caused by not attuning to the Pleroma right away will be that unattuned characters cannot travel to the Greentruth rebellion stronghold.

◆ NETWORK (COMMUNION): As soon as a character is attuned to either the Pleroma or the Kenoma, they will be able to access Communion, Aion Teleos's network system. This is written about in the game's info pages, but more details can be found here. This skill can be found by accident or taught by another character.

◆ AION GLAMORS: To help ease gameplay for characters who will stick out like a sore thumb in the setting, we want to make it known that there will be a relatively weak 'glamor' type spell available to learn in Greentruth for new Pleroma. This will have to be pursued ICly, but it is out there, and will be achievable by Tier 1 attunement.

CHARACTER INTRO MINGLES

There will be no mod posted mingle log set up for new players; instead, we are encouraging veteran characters to set up mingles in the various game locations. Our reasoning for this is that, at least on the Pleroma side, there is no set mingle point that will be, by default, accessible to all characters, meaning that some IC thought and proactivity will have to go into how best to accommodate them. Additionally, this will be an opportunity for characters to ICly flex their leadership skills and receive IC reputation (and a small IC gift) for doing so. If you make a mingle log, makes sure to include it in your notable actions on your AC!

We won't leave you entirely without direction, though! Below are some ideas to get people started, and to give an idea of what the environment in each location will be. We will be happy to answer any questions and help with logistics where needed. Alongside this, new players are welcome to make their own open posts on the logs comm.

◆ ACHAMOTH: Once new arrivals have accepted the Kenoma, they will be welcomed into the Citadel along with the rest of their kindred. Most things in the "A Deity's Welcome" and "Exploration" prompts of this log will still apply (we will be converting all of this into a separate info page ASAP but we haven't had the time this month) and so it can be referenced to get an idea of accommodations. The major difference is the lack of dinner time with the Regent; according to their apparent second in command (Xishen, for those that know her), they are preoccupied at the moment, and have asked for the other Kenoma to take charge when it comes to catching up the new recruits. All of Achamoth's facilities and resources are at their disposal to do so.

Achamoth's citizens are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. They will be eager to offer places for the Kenoma Aions to meet in. Though it is now the Innocent's Moon, it largely goes unremarked on by the residents here, and if it is, only scornfully.

◆ GODSBLOOD: Once the shrines have stopped producing hatchlings, Godsblood will be the first stop for most Pleroma newcomers. By either swimming up through the ocean waters or taking a series of narrow tunnels to the surface, they will find themselves on this edge of this coastal city. It is much the same as it is in this linked post, though the Lover's Festival is now over. While most Aions are capable of blending in thanks to Horos's highly diverse biology, those that are taurs or completely non-mammalian may need some help from other Pleroma to get around without arousing suspicion. Godsblood resists the Regent's control, but it is far from completely safe. Characters may have to work together to find a place to house these new arrivals, whether that be in a safe part of the city or the nearby mountains.

There are seemingly no large festivals planned for the month of Inoseri, but in contrast with the Moon of the Innocent, there does seem to be a sense of unrest. Word of the conflicts at the shrines is spreading around, along with the realization that both Aion sects are now active. It's an ill portent for those old enough to remember the last Aion war. Regardless of the Pleroma's intent, there are those among the people here that resent the fact that their resistance may bring about another era of suffering, and will be suspicious of any new faces they see. At the same time, there are those that are enticed by this new chance to hope, and may be willing to put themselves on the line to see it flourish.

◆ GREENTRUTH: Only those that have officially attuned to the Pleroma will be able to take the portal to Greentruth, a magical passage hidden in a secure location beneath the city streets. They can be shown the way by those that know it, but discretion is of the utmost concern. Upon arriving in the heart of this rebellion stronghold, they will find the atmosphere is more lively and hopeful than it has been for decades. The resurgence of Kenoma has revitalized the Resistance and travel between Greentruth and the smaller settlements is at an all time high as materials and specialists move where needed. Aions are sought after by locals for insight and advice on larger projects as well as smaller personal notes of interest ranging from disputes between neighbors and what kind of wood would be best for this bow. Aions may not have all the answers, but will be encouraged to engage so they can better establish their presence and gain insight to the inner workings of the forest.

Inoseri is known as a time of peace and serenity, but not for the local wildlife. It's mating season for a species of forest dinosaur that is known for it's loud distinct call. This trumpeting sound can be heard for miles and will be nearly constant at the beginning of the month. This is equally frustrating for Greentruth residents as it is for other fauna. Aions will find that animals are more unruly than usual and hunting will be difficult, so any assistance provided to the Greentruth hunters will be appreciated. They will just have to hope they do not cross paths with a would be dinosaurian suitor.

There will be a mission styled event happening later in the month which will call both sects towards the city of Venera. ICly characters will not become aware of this until the plotting post goes up. Meanwhile, as the month of Inoseri begins, all Innocents will feel a strange sense of presence... almost as if there is someone standing with them, even when they are alone.

SECT: Kenoma, because of who he is as a person. He's sort of an idiot, is what I'm saying.

CHARACTER PITCH: A Catholic priest that experienced a miracle on the Road to Damascus which permanently altered the course of his life - namely, he nearly died out there, only to be saved by an Angel of the Lord and granted eternal life. Since then, he's been ministering to a small island community with apparent powers to heal the sick and raise the dead. Those who are canon-familiar know why this is both the best and worst explanation possible I can give for this character.

DESIRED CR:I'm always really bad at sorting this kind of thing out; honestly, I'm on the side of anything and everything goes. I can always be reached for any plotting anyone would want to do, and I'm receptive to positive and negative CR both. If we're at, like, a constant impasse we might want to try something else, but generally speaking I like conflict and I like debates and I don't tend to shy away from my characters being blatant fuckups when, like, look at them. So if they'd get along, great! If not, then also great! We're good either way.

OFFERED CR: Do you want someone to aggressively and genuinely give a damn about your character? Do you want a reasonable authority figure that's only allegedly completely off the fucking rails? Do you want someone to vent all of your frustration with the Catholic Church on? (I mean, me too?) Do you want.........idk someone to disappoint you horribly because he's probably going to manage that one too, let's be honest. I dunno, man, he legitimately cares entirely too much and he's taking it out on everybody.

PLOT HOOKS: RE: Fellow Kenoma, he's more than willing to meet with people pretty much anywhere; he's been in Achamoth for the past while, and he's gotten fairly accustomed to the place. He's often found participating in the various religious rituals and services offered by night, and he stays in the Citadel most days. He's also often present when people are training, due to having healing abilities - no point in letting people injure themselves for the hell of it.

RE: any potential meeting with the Pleroma...again, Paul has healing abilities and will assist you regardless of side, at least for the time being; he will not use lethal force and he is generally more of a noncombatant overall, and he will not leave people to their injuries or possible death if it can be avoided. However, he will debate merits with you, and he'll be trying to earn favor with the Regent by way of converting others without forcing them into anything - willing soldiers in the army of the authority are often far more effective, after all.

EVENT PLANS: Again, he's willing to meet with anyone that would like to; I could possibly throw a mingle log up for the Achamoth side of things, if anyone wants, but I'm down for leaving that open for anyone who might have more/better ideas than I do, haha.

CHARACTER PITCH: Upon first meeting him, Yuuta might give an odd impression — as a distant descendant of his universe's Sugawara no Michizane, he's a prodigious young jujutsu sorcerer with an immense well of cursed energy at his disposal, so that can make him come off as... unsettling. Despite both that and having been incredibly haunted by his dead girlfriend for six years of his life, he's a really sweet and well-meaning young man. Very much lending to his Legacy, he values the people closest to him above all else, and he will do pretty much anything to defend them...! Which is actually quite a lot, because even though he's a beansprout of a teenager, he's also the second-strongest jujutsu sorcerer in the world back where he comes from, so... 😶 He can be very scary when he wants to be.
DESIRED CR: I'm going to be really annoying and say "anything" here... I will say the biggest "want" I have for Yuuta in general anywhere (and this can be more of a long-term goal, given the nature of it), but I crave found family for him. 🥺 He estranged himself from his biological family when he was being haunted by Rika, and his classmates and teachers at Jujutsu High were essentially his second family, and now he's (mostly) separated from them too...! It's going to make him feel really sad and isolated, so I want to surround him with a new squad of friends and people to care about. But I also would love to get him some tasty negative CR as well. (:<
OFFERED CR:
▶️ (LATENT) SHOUNEN PROTAGONIST: Yuuta was actually only the protagonist of the prologue of Jujutsu Kaisen (he is now here to support and appreciate Yuuji! go get 'em, Yuuji!!), but he's still got that vibe about him, even if it's somewhat more refined (he's figured roughly 80% of his shit out). While he can struggle to understand the big picture of a lot of the somewhat-less-cosmic-than-this conflicts he's been a part of in the past, he is the type to immediately and unswervingly listen to his heart. If he gets the sense that you're a good person, he's going to be in your corner (and if you're a Kenoma, that's whether you like it or not!!). Conversely, if you threaten or harm any of the people he's chosen to call his friends and allies... Well, he actually has no qualms with straight-up murdering you if that's the case, so this can be a double-edged sword of CR! Friends, enemies... I'm up for all of it!
▶️ SPARRING PARTNER: He's going to need a weapon first, but Yuuta is a very accomplished swordsman! Because he reinforces both his body and his blade with cursed energy, he is inhumanly strong, fast, and agile, so wherever you happen to fall on the sliding scale of "total rookie" to "kinda OP badass," he can and will offer to help keep your skills sharp!
▶️ HEALING: Yuuta is one of the few jujutsu sorcerers skilled with reverse cursed energy technique, which is basically a complicated way of saying that he can help stabilize and heal wounds. This ability is by no means instantaneous, but it will drastically speed up the body's own healing process. It's a taxing ability for him to use, so he wouldn't be able to do too much at any given time, but he will have a vested interest in helping keep his new allies healthy! Please count on him to be one of the Healer Squad™️.
▶️ TEENAGER: At the end of the day, Yuuta is still 17 years old — though he's learned to process (or compartmentalize, whichever works) a lot of his own stress and trauma to stand as a strong pillar for those around him, he can still get worn down and overwhelmed in his quieter hours. If your character is the type to want to keep an eye on the kiddos and make sure they aren't pushing themselves too hard, please do so! He really benefits from something like that. 🥺
PLOT HOOKS: I am playing Yuuta pretty much directly oppositely to how I'm playing Makoto, so he is going to be a lot more proactive as a combative force for the Pleroma. Really, I miss fight threads and I thirst for them, so. /: I'm going to be doing a lot more PVP with him, but he is also a huge bleeding-heart despite that. I want all of the messiness of empathizing with his enemies! I want the drama of trying to win them over to his side with the power of friendship! That's my general plan, anyway.

EVENT PLANS: I plan for Yuuta to attune to the Pleroma relatively quickly this month (there is, of course, an "evil overlord" to fight). I'm interested in getting him mingling with his fellow Pleromies and also maybe get an idea of how the resistance is shaping up at Greentruth!

INTENDED SECT: Kenoma.

CHARACTER PITCH: Effortlessly charming and friendly, Kaeya is voted "top candidate for grandson-in-law" because of his affable personality, loved and adored by the citizens of Mondstadt. Those closest to him tell a different story: you can only trust half of what Kaeya says at best, and he can be a bit shady given his tendency to never reveal what he's truly thinking or feeling no matter what the situation is. A self-proclaimed antihero with an attitude. He is ruthlessly clever, a master manipulator and liar who is well-versed in treating friend and foe alike as though they are merely pieces on a chessboard. The end justifies the means, and for Kaeya, it hardly matters if others find this perspective a bit careless. He does everything for the good of Mondstadt and its people despite his questionable methods, so at the end of the day, he is still a reliable ally. Most don't realize, however, that Kaeya is one of the remaining survivors of the fallen nation called Khaenri'ah. Only time will tell if fate will be cruel and force him to make a choice: does he remain loyal to Khaenri'ah, the nation who considers him to be their last hope, or will he fight for Mondstadt, the city that he finds comfort in, somewhere he finally belongs? Not even Kaeya himself knows the answer.

DESIRED CR:

◆ EVERYONE. I know, I know; it's a cop-out. But Kaeya is generally easy to work with all sorts of people — no matter if they're good or bad. He's as friendly as one can be, charming and flirtatious as the best of them, so if you want a guy who's fun to be around, Kaeya is your man. On the flipside, he's a big liar who makes everyone second guess what he's thinking/feeling. You can never truly tell what's on Kaeya's mind because he smiles through it all, laughing it off if you hit his issues (and boy, does he have so many of them) right on the mark.

◆ FRENEMIES. These are Kaeya's favourite people. He doesn't act any differently towards them, but man, he knows how to make anyone feel appreciated even if they're his/his allies' enemies. Kaeya is known to throw feasts for the Fatui living in Mondstadt even if they're the antagonists, 'cause YOU KNOW... it's fun. It's fine.

◆ STOIC/ALOOF/LONER TYPES. Listen. Kaeya loves annoying these types. Let him at 'em. He's well-versed in talking to brick walls so if you ever need someone to be a nuisance, he'll be there. On the flipside, he can also help draw them out of their shells more. Or their comfort zones. He's very patient, honestly.

◆ DRINKING BUDDIES. This is pretty self-explanatory but Kaeya loves a good drink. Good company while drinking good wine? Even better. He also likes to frequent local bars/taverns because that's where loose lips like to talk. Catch him quietly drinking wine while he listens to all conversations going on, 'cause he likes to be in the know-how.

◆ LIARS/SCHEMERS. Kaeya's shady, so ofc he's gonna get along with other shady types. If you want someone you can will never have a good reason to trust, just hit him up. Maybe they can even scheme together or something. (Bad idea.)

◆ FOUND FAMILY. So Kaeya has been abandoned twice: first, by his biological father, and then again by his sworn brother (after the death of Master Crepus). I think it would be nice if he manages to find people he can open up to and be honest with, no matter which side they're on. For all his charm and flair, he's incredibly lonely, lmao, so pls give him found family. This is hard mode but I want it anyway. :'(

OFFERED CR:

◆ CHARMER & FLIRT. Kaeya is a charming flirt, and if he thinks you're beautiful, he will let you know. And maybe offer to buy you a drink or two. He doesn't tend to bother with anyone he doesn't find interesting or intriguing so don't worry. He's not a tryhard... thankfully... One night stands are on the table if there's chemistry too.

◆ BIG BROTHER. Yeah, so... even the shady guy has a brotherly side to him. He's more likely to show this around younger folks, or those who need more guidance, even if he's going to be a bit questionable with giving out encouragement. He likes to encourage a young girl's tendencies to blow stuff up by helping her do it behind the other adults' backs, but y'know. At least he's gonna make sure they're doing it safely!! Probably.

◆ BAD INFLUENCE. ... Which ties into this. If your character needs someone who will encourage them to do questionable stuff, Kaeya's perfect for that too. He won't judge if you need to uh, hurt people or whatever every now and then. Or be a bit more reckless than usual. Sometimes it's necessary!

◆ ANTIHERO? ANTAGONIST? Technically, he's not a villain, but he will play the part of a loyal follower to the Regent pretty well, especially if he wants to come across as sincere. Initially he'd be trying to play double-agent but then realize this is a Bad Idea. Not to mention, the Kenoma can latch onto many cracks in his personality so it won't take long before he buys into the whole "let's unmake this world" gig. The worst is he wouldn't hesitate to give any of his friends (no matter what side) a hard time figuring out his true motivations 'cause he's the best liar. Plus, he just likes putting people into high-stress situations, questioning their morals, motivations, etcetera. Some say he takes pleasure in that, which is... hello???

PLOT HOOKS:

◆ LET ME BUY YOU A DRINK. Pretty self-explanatory. Kaeya can be usually found in one of the local taverns, nursing a drink as he observes the crowd. He isn't shy when it comes to approaching people he finds interesting, and he's more than happy to strike a conversation if he finds you looking his way. After all, alcohol tastes better in good company, right?

◆ NEED A HELPING HAND? Just because he's from Kenoma doesn't mean he's above helping others. He's still a knight at the end of the day, so you can catch him doing random errands for the elderly or teaching youngsters how to fight properly, etcetera. He'll even help with paperwork if you're drowning with it, even if he makes a show out of hating this stuff.

◆ I TRUSTED YOU. This is more of a long-term want but I think it'd be neat if there are people whose trusts Kaeya can break in the distant future by carrying out the Regent's wishes. If they trust him, and he decides to ruin it in the end... it would be neat. But will require a lot of long-term planning to make the pay off worth it, I think! Ofc, this can be done in reverse too — Kaeya finally ends up learning to trust someone, only to get backstabbed. :') Either scenario can work.

EVENT PLANS: i'll be making a mingle log at some point (hopefully later today!) but mostly kaeya's just gonna go exploring in achamoth...

◆ A DEITY'S WELCOME. This is going to be self-indulgent but we're gonna play Dress Up Kaeya in his shiny new quarters!! Maybe his new retainer will show up for a cameo too but for the most part... help him figure out what to wear that's appropriate for exploration.

◆ EXPLORATION. Uh, who wants a shopping buddy? He'll even carry the bags. But honestly, he'll probably be pub crawling... Gotta figure out where in Achamoth has the best wine! (Stop this madness.)

CHARACTER PITCH: Short Lizard who thinks she's a Big Lizard is happy to meet you, feed you, and then punch god in the face. Himeka is a Warrior of Light, AKA the malleable game protagonist in FFXIV who begins a simple adventurer and in classic JRPG fashion eventually must save the world. Several times. But not without the help of friends! She has an inability to say "no" and a #yolo attitude while all being fairly laid back about it. She has been running on steam for some time now but may have finally figured her shit out and has become a lot more confident and secure in her sense of self. She doesn't shy away from hard work or impossible odds, but will definitely take side roads from overall goals to do side quests. Saving chickens is just as important as saving a nation, after all.

DESIRED CR:

OFFERED CR: Himeka is the sort of person who can get along with almost anyone, tends to be extremely patient in most situations and is difficult to perturb. Do you have a quiet character that needs someone to poke them? She's the lizard for you. She's pretty friendly and is definitely the sort of person someone can feel comfortable sharing things with. (She's used to info dumps.)

But she is definitely a little odd and has zero shame so she is prone to being blunt and not always taking prosperities into consideration. She's humble about all her accomplishments except: her cooking skills, her fishing skills, and her height. (She's 5'2" but she's tall guys, just go with it.)

PLOT HOOKS: Himeka is one of the resident Pleroma Healers and is actually a powerful mage so she can help people out with injuries or just do a cool light show. She can't cure diseases or regrow limbs or anything but she can provide magical first aid and help accelerate natural healing. Feel free to poke her any time your character needs a boost!

On that note anyone who wants to talk magicks would be great! She definitely defines herself a lot by her magical abilities so bonding with other people over that is good...on both sides, maybe?

I really want Himeka to get involved with the dinosaurs which is uh...LMAO. Awkward right now during mating season I guess?? But she is very interested in finding the different species in the forest or finding ones that you can ride/train eventually because that's cool. So. Dino-bros come at me.

Himeka also has protagonist syndrome so any Kenoma who want to take advantage of the fact she has a hard time saying "no" and will always put the safety of other people first are MORE than welcome.

EVENT PLANS: Himeka will be in Godsblood at the beginning of the month so she could be there to help out newbies! But her main base is in Greentruth so she could help show where the portal is if needed. Once in Greentruth she's going to back to her helping out in the soup kitchen along with exploring the forest. In particular even though ti's going to be a very noisy mating season she is absolutely going to go dinosaur spotting so please join her in that pursuit.

CHARACTER PITCH: Princess who tried to keep her city from falling to the dark ends up sacrificing herself to save her people and one of the few people capable of setting things right. Harbors a lot of guilt over the almost-loss of her kingdom and people. Bears 1/3rd of a magical artifact that can do cool stuff. Fun fact: she probably had her coronation post-canon so she's...technically a queen? But details.

DESIRED CR: In the interest of not saying ANYTHING, I'd love for CR that just treats Zelda like a person instead of a ruler (because she's also not going to be forthcoming about that anyway, less to hide and more because it's not exactly important under current circumstances) and people who will teach her to just...be normal. Would also love people to teach her how to be better at swordplay. Personally, I'd really love to make CR with ride or die people, people who will really ally together and bond, and really develop loyalty for each other. In contrast, I'd really like for some not-so-"light" people to also befriend Zelda (Kenoma or Pleroma, idc, bring on the repercussions) because a whole part of the game is that not everyone who is considered "dark" is evil, so if you have someone of a darker nature who isn't totally horrible, maybe we can make that work? And on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I'd be really down for a rivalry or hateship. If you're interested, lemme know. I'd really love to play out Zelda actually having an enemy that she can "grow" with while the two trade blows. She's not the strongest out there but could be, and I'd love for that angle if people are interested.

OFFERED CR: Uhh...she can definitely help heal people, first and foremost. She's also willing to help people fight or protect others, as is needed. Obviously, slow burning friendship until she lets her guard down (but seriously, girl needs friends). Zelda is also just a pretty quiet person and a good listening ear. She's desperate to just kind of help and be useful after canon events and will try to help people not do things solo, so sorry not sorry. If you do her a good turn, she's going to pay you back, too!

PLOT HOOKS: If able to carry over TDM threads in some fashion (or recreate them), Zelda is very quickly going to fall into Pleroma and just give in because the possible destruction of her world after everything that's just happened? Yeah, she needs to be stronger, needs to help people, needs to set things right. And being of the Martyr persuasion, she's absolutely okay with her being the kindling to try to keep this from happening to other people and other worlds. (And tbh, I'm up for any weird changes and potential body horror that comes from going full-Pleroma.) In addition, she's just going to be overly curious about everything (from both a caring standpoint and a political one, so she'll be asking questions about how this all works) and is going to want to explore and understand what she can from as many sides as possible even if that initially seems "traitorous". Don't get me wrong, she's going to be anti-Regent all the way, but one thing likely on her agenda is going to be how to save the people "forced" to be Kenoma (even if that creates massive misunderstandings).

EVENT PLANS: Will first be hanging around the Godsblood area to try to get a sense of the unease and try to cautiously find out what happened during the last war and where all of the distrust is coming from, and what can be done. In addition, anyone who still needs healing after what happened at the shrines can have some (once she's full in on Pleroma, unless you'd like to see those powers on the fritz or not working). Closer towards the end of the first week, she will want to likely engage in Pleroma and by mid-month look into Greentruth.

I'd like to carry over or recreate TDM threads if possible and I apologize for leaving anyone hanging as well; my health took a downward swing this week and I needed to rest. But a lot of those threads were info-gathering that I'd like to use to propel her into stuff.

CHARACTER PITCH:

Jae Ha is the flirty, charming and pretty Big Brother of the group. He's the oldest of the characters traveling, other than the immortal one, and so he falls into that big brother role especially easily. This was also the case back in his pirate crew, where all of the pirates looked up to him. He is able to stay calm and it's rare that we see his anger, so he's able to hold back other hot-headed types in the group from fights that may escalate into further dangerous situations. He's wise in a lot of ways of the world, due to what he's been through in his life. He's someone that has high morals, as we see him struggling with the weight of needlessly killing others, but he's also someone who can think through alternatives and realize that sometimes death is necessary to keep those you love safe in times of war. He also knows how to use things to his own advantage, such as using smooth-talking and his own good looks to obtain needed items for the group. His smarts have also been shown in just how cunning he can be when the time comes for it, and when he does show his rare anger, it's powerful and always for the sake of protecting those around him. It's worth noting that he's also incredibly perceptive, and we see it time and time again. He knows when members of the group are struggling and usually can pick up on clues to tell him roughly what, if not exactly what. Things like noticing someone's hands are rough when they normally shouldn't be, or seeing red eyes from tears after a hidden cry-fest, or picking up on changed behavior due to an emotional struggle.

He's kind, and definitely a throbbing heart when it comes to the struggles that the group has to face with the reality of how cruel the world can be. But he also has great admiration for people like Yona and his old captain Gi Gan who both showed him that people can be good, strong and kind despite everything pitted against them. He admires strength and beauty heavily for this reason— it's the power and desire to make the world a good place that gives off such a good impression for him. Some might label him a pervert due to his tendency to flirt with any woman he sees (and his admiration for beautiful and strong men comes close), but the truth is that he's a bleeding heart with a desire to use what he has left of his dragon lifespan to make good in the world for those directly around him.

DESIRED CR:

Right now all I can say is "all" but that will be refined after he has some time in game!

He can be big brother, he can be flirty, he can be wise, he can be the butt of jokes, and everything in between! He's going to be very firmly Pleroma so if anyone from either side either wants reinforcing or challenging on their ideals, he can be here for that. CHARACTER PITCH: Amos is a spaceship mechanic from the 2350s who is a fundamentally broken person due to an incredibly traumatic childhood. He wishes he wasn't, but he knows he'll always be this way, so the only thing he can do is try to mitigate the damage he knows he's capable of — usually by attaching himself to and following the lead of those he thinks are genuinely good people, turning them into his external, aftermarket conscience. Which, here, would be the Regent. He's completely cut off from his emotions, loyal to a fault, and honestly doing about as well as could be expected, all things considered.

DESIRED CR: Amos groups people into three different categories: bad ones (mostly the Pleroma, at this point), ones to follow (mostly the Regent, at this point) and ones to protect (mostly his fellow Kenoma).
I love all three — I love messy conflicts and betrayals. He's pretty dang loyal to the Regent, but if there's someone else poking around that he thinks has a real good head on their shoulders he might want to take their lead on some things, too. And as long as you're on his side, he's very loyal and protective and will help you out/go to bat for you.
Based on his groupings of people, Amos would consider himself a bad person — but there is something of a desire there to be someone for others to follow. Let him take you under his wing, he's clearly been through some fucked up shit but he's also a pretty chill guy in general.

OFFERED CR: I offer you one (1) Kenoma simp. Amos has been pretty quick to adopt the Regent as his new moral compass and turns out he actually believes in the Kenoma's goal, too — call it a combination of traumatic childhood, nihilism, and a genuine desire to do good from a person who isn't exactly capable of discerning what good is. So basically, anything and everything you might want from someone who believes in the Kenoma/the Regent and isn't gonna be a dick about it — he's right here for any of that. Need help adjusting? Want to call him out on it? Please.
I will say there's a limit to how much he can really debate and he's also the kind of guy to turn to brute force rather quickly, so for the next few weeks, there's only so much I can thread the former and the latter probably shouldn't come up (but if it does then that's very cool, too!).

PLOT HOOKS: He does sincerely believe the Kenoma is in the right/the Pleroma is in the wrong! So he'll want to help out any new Kenoma, get them adjusted, prepare for war kinda thing. Or just vibe around Achamoth if that's what they need to do; he's spent enough time wandering the city to get a decent lay of the land. (Also it just feels more natural slumming it than being in a fancy citadel... not that he minds the citadel but, you know...) He's also a normie who's picked up a couple of powers in his time here so he'll be more than happy to talk about that with fellow Kenoma.
On the flip side, there are a couple of people on the Pleroma he thinks he likes but... that's getting increasingly gray... Also I believe he started off with a decent rep among some of the Pleroma due to his non-activity during the first event but TDM events might have changed that. Look, it's complicated. But he's a perfectly reasonable guy as long as he doesn't think murder is the best solution at the moment. Even then, it's nothing personal, you know?

EVENT PLANS: Planning to be around for whatever gets set up in Achamoth! I can't see him setting anything up himself since he isn't exactly personable; he doesn't have great social skills and on first impression it should be pretty clear that there's something very off about him. That said, he will genuinely want to help new Kenomas, so he will be around, and I anticipate that being his/my focus the next couple of weeks.

Gosh. For those already in game, meet Dextera's (passio) incredibly toxic boyfriend. But yeah, honestly, what the Regent is doing is Archangel's entire goal throughout the canon. (laughs) He is a cult leader who wanted to fight God and "won." Like he's incredibly manipulative and real megalomaniac, but he honestly and sincerely believes that humanity deserves better than a world (or worlds) that brings them suffering and grief. At the same time, he just hates people, in general. So, yeah. He's gotten even wackier after the world ended, and still kind of wacky now that he's no longer in a perpetual state of suffering and pain.

DESIRED CR:

Like-minded folk. This may be the first time Archangel is around people who actually think the same way that he does -- that the world suck and needs to be remade. That is something that he kept secret from everyone (until it was too late to stop him), but now he can just talk about it with people. He can actually find someone who understands and sympathizes with his ideals. It would be a marvel -- and he has been very much alone due to causing the end of the world (that he blames on Dextera).

Anything. Yeah, never really sure what to say after the first one. But I'm honestly down for anyone. Someone want to talk about being in a cult? He's there! He's been horribly betrayed by a lot of people that he confided in, and while not really looking for anyone to be close to, it would be nice if he was able to trust in anyone without being a manipulative asshole about it. Will it happen? Who knows!

PERMISSIONS: Archangel has True Sight that is nerfed. Seeing through any illusions will be decided with my handy-dandy OPT-IN post. It may lead to some CR if you so like having a huge asshole come up and be like, "What's up with the glamor, nerd?"

Would you like an incredibly manipulative cult leader? 'Cause I got one. But more seriously, he is someone who can easily bring out the worst in someone; he doesn't necessarily always intend for it to be that way, but he is good at it. He's manipulative; he wants to always be in control of the situation. He talks in a very gentle, serene kind of way and seems like he'll be incredibly forgiving to anyone's sins, but just gathering receipts so that he can hurt a person later. (laughs) But until then, he seems very willing to listen to people's complaints and venting; he seems like someone who will always offer a hand out to help. And really, again, he likes people as an idea so does like to help... but he really hates people when he talks to them 'cause he finds most individuals to be selfish and self-centered -- unworthy of mercy or grace. TL;DR — Eustace is a guy who lost his entire family and hometown at the age of 10 and spent the next 15+ years of his life doing jobs for a shady organization so he could find and take out the people responsible for killing his family. Has been described as blunt, not a people person, and emotionally constipated, though he will die for you as soon as he accepts you into his inner circle of friends. Likes dogs, dislikes loud noises, and his hobbies include gun maintenance and resting in quiet places. Basically: a huge loser.

DESIRED CR: I'm legally obligated to say everything but since that's super vague....

• My heart always cries out for friends but I know that's a hard sell with him, so anyone that'll tolerate his reticence and brusqueness.
  
• Anyone who wants to actively harass him and make his life miserable. I am always here to make him suffer.

PLOT HOOKS: ICly, he's on Team Kenoma right now mostly because he wants to figure out what the fuck is up with this whole Aion business/the Regent/everyone's worlds being kaboomed and that seems easiest when he has resources at his disposal. He's not necessarily against the Regent's plan to nuke the world and remake it but he's also questioning the methods that'll be used. If you want your character to learn that he is not 100% onboard with the Regent's plans, I am happy to make that happen.

My short-to-medium term goal is to have him make one (1) Pleroma friend that he would actually hesitate and refuse to kill so that he can land in hot water and maybe get brainwashed. My longterm goal is to have him to defect to Pleroma, but that would heavily depend on CR and how game plot unfolds, so that's more of a vague thought than anything.

EVENT PLANS: Uhhhhh nothing specific. He's not really a meet-n-greet kinda guy so he won't be super helpful to Kenoma newbies (sorry fam). In terms of starting points if you do want to get a start on CR though:

• He does a lot of training/sparring on his off days.

CHARACTER PITCH: Area sheepherder discovers he's the reincarnation of a man who literally broke the world. This puts a real damper on his plans to live a quiet life. As a man who can channel, he's doomed to encroaching madness the more he uses his power. As the Dragon Reborn, he's destined to cause enormous upheavals in their world, with the strong possibility that he may break it like he did in his last lifetime. On top of all this, he has to contend with a host of monsters and powerful baddies, plus the impending confrontation with the Dark One that will almost certainly claim his life. He's doing his best to handle the pressure and trauma of it all, but it's a lot for a guy who expected to live a quiet existence on his father's farm.

As of Rand's canon point, he's faced what he thinks is his Final Confrontation with the Big Bad (spoilers: it was not), and surprised himself by escaping with his life. He feels extremely awesome about the fact that the world seems to have ended anyway. He's also grappling with a lot of existential angst around some recent discoveries he made about his past, plus the fact that his ability to channel (use magic, basically) is inevitably going to erode at his sanity and kill him. Fun times.

DESIRED CR:

➞ Friends...hip bullying. Rand will be readily polite and sweet to people for the most part. That said, he recently ghosted his childhood friends by faking his death for they're better off without me kinds of reasons and is super skittish at the concept of anyone getting close to him here. He has completely normal levels of self-worth, why do you ask.

➞ Swordplay. Area archer has no idea how to hold a sword BUT would really like to learn for sentimental reasons! Someone please teach him a thing or two. He'll have a knack for it once he has any....formal instruction, and more to the point will take practicing very seriously.

➞ Other magic-users. He's recently discovered this ability in himself, and with it has come a lot of baggage and self-hatred. It'd be cool if he could learn to integrate this part of his identity in a healthier way! (Or not, whichever way CR pushes his perception of things.) For a brief rundown: The One Power, essentially the source of all magic in his world, is divided into halves that men and women, respectively, can access. Millennia ago, the devil corrupted the ~ male half ~, causing the situation where men channelers inevitably lose their sanity. Rand's grown up around a lot of stigma around magic-users in general, and guy magic-users in particular.

➞ But really, I'm down for anything. I love positive or negative CR and everything in between.

CHARACTER PITCH: Bad dad mob boss tries to liberate city by flooding it with steroid drugs. Kind of almost gets there but Things Will Get In The Way (but also those are after his canon point so lol) A Bitchy, horrible little vile-tempered man that planned revenge for nearly a decade after his ex-best friend tried to drown him, because he...probably wanted to commit more crimes and get more people killed. Believes that power is the most important thing you can have and is the worst person.

DESIRED CR: I pretty much love any CR that lets my character be horrible, mean, and bad.
I love negative CR and it gives me life. I will always want Silco to be terrible and mean, and maybe betray people because you can't get betrayed if you betray people first!!
I am also looking for more CR with folks who will let Silco either be extremely bitchy with them, or let him use them because he's absolutely a user. Silco is all about Kenoma bc the world can burn if his daughter is already gone so you know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So anyone who wants a sneaky bad druglord, please come to me, I'm interested in having him pursue more avenues in Achamoth over the next few months as well as do more "I'm in the background doing sneak things" type of actions! He's not a frontliner, but he can administrate a drug empire pretty well, so doing that kind of support is his thing!

OFFERED CR: I have 1 bad horrible little man to offer. He's mean and bitchy, and kind of a drug kingpin, so if you like any of these things, I'm your gal! Silco has been spending a lot of his time in Achamoth getting to know the streets, the bars, drugs, etc, so if you are looking for a guide down there, he probably has the know-how to get around at this point!
He also like...does not move through the streets with his aion stuff on display, so most people in Achamoth probably think he's weird and nosy. So if you have a character who likes intrigue, or you're looking for someone to get involved in some, I'm game for it!

PLOT HOOKS: Silco still has 0 powers, so he's getting a little bitchy about that, since he doesn't know any magic anyway! If someone tries to teach him he may (begrudgingly) take lessons for cantrips since he can't even really do those yet. He is also pretty much on board with Kenoma, and like... probably would be no matter what, since he's a horrid little person that poisoned his city to free it. Not the way to go. He has no relative strengths beyond his own wits and smarts, and sometimes uses knives, if that's a good hook!

City and crime things! Silco is still on the hunt for people that are his type, so he's hanging around in Achamoth, trying to get a name up for himself beyond "the weird guy who was asking about crimes" last time! He's really all about that secret intrigue, so he's making much more efforts in those avenues.

Betrayal! If you mention betrayal around Silco he starts giving speeches. It's awkward, there might be a weird baptism involved. It's bad for everyone, but it is him, he is cringe.

Also drowning. A thing. He has Opinions. He's just a weird little guy who might also be a gaslighting dad, he's horrible

EVENT PLANS: I may help w/ a log for new Kenomies who want to hang out in Achamoth in the entertainment district! Since Silco's a club/drugs/bar type, so getting down into the city is kind of his thing, so that's a vague plan I am toying with!

Other than that, Silco will just be around, being bitchy, etc etch, the usual. I have a pretty open-plan until the event other than maybe putting up a log!

CHARACTER PITCH: Former teen soldier turned deputy director of trade moonlighting as a terrorist turned operator for a militarized pharmaceutical company (and this was his least questionable job he held). During a few of these jobs he also worked as an arms dealer who modified the weapons he sold.

So as a man with a very noble and upright career trajectory, and no underlining trauma or questions about the inherent goodness of people, he of course joined the Pleroma without any struggle at all.

No he uh, he's a little bit internally a mess, but he keeps it in a lot better than most people. He's very friendly and smiley, and it's the fact that he's unwilling to show any cracks in the armor that actually raises the most questions. He's genuinely pretty helpful though, and has a decent understanding of the city of Godsblood (where he's been staying) at this point.

Oh yeah! Also has dog ears and a tail. Disappointingly does not play fetch.
DESIRED CR: He did some tour guide work as the deputy director of trade in the city he used to live in, and would be more than happy to do the same for any of the new Pleroma (or soon to be Pleroma) before they head off for jungle dino adventures.

I'm always up for new friends, or new people to plot and scheme with for any types that might be more on that side of things.

He recently came across some healing powers, so anyone want to let him test his newfound abilities? Don't worry. He probably won't make things worse.

Sparring partners so he can stay in good form for the next Kenoma vs. Pleroma clash. He's a swordsman, but he's up for learning to fight in other ways.

For more distant plotting, very open to future CR with Kenoma as well. Ernesto is trying to make nice as much as possible with the Kenoma, so it doesn't come to blows when he encounters someone from that side.
OFFERED CR: He's clever, though he does obfuscate that at times, but he's been working hard to get a feel of the world and immediate area they're at. He can definitely help both new players and settled players who maybe haven't spent much time in the city alike. If anyone can get a weapon in his hand, he can also potentially alter it for you in any way you want (limited only by materials and available tech).

Also he can and will make bombs if anyone requests one, and gets him what he needs for it. Putting that out there.
PLOT HOOKS: Largely going to be staying around Godsblood, sort of dipping in and out of Greentruth from time to time to get people settled. If anyone needs him or needs help with anything around the city? He's good for that.

Otherwise maybe you want your character to almost get trampled to death by a horny dino they get in the way of? Because I am always down for near death tramplings.

EVENT PLANS: I don't have anything too specific this time! He's just looking to help get people settled in, and catch up with people he already knows to make sure they're okay. Open to pretty much anything.

CHARACTER PITCH:
Emet is a villain from the Critically Acclaimed MMORPG MMO Final Fantasy XIV with an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award-winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime. Emet-Selch is the titular antagonist of Shadowbringers and debatably one of the mainstay villains throughout the entire first arc of the game.

He is a powerful yet reasonable mage who has been known to be unpredictable in his actions. In a positive light, he can be knowledgeable, helpful, sentimental, and thoroughly gifted with his skills. Negatively, he can be ruthless, manipulative, driven by grief, and treat tasks like they're too much of a hassle - One might even go as far as to call him "begrudgingly helpful". Though he has a wealth of skills at his disposal he knows that sometimes force is not the optimal solution and will opt to engage adversaries with words, while saving force for when it comes to a necessity.
  
DESIRED CR:

Exploring buddies - Since he is settled in Achamoth, it would be nice to have some buddies to go out and explore the wilderness with. He wants to get a good idea of the terrain in case they have to go out and get rid of Pleroma. I mean, that's fun right? :)))

Magic Students - He has offered to (begrudgingly) help Kenoma with harnessing their magic skills. While he can't people new spells, he can teach them how to properly use ones that they acquire. 

Saviors??? - Please Pleroma, do me the pleasure of having someone try and "save" him. (From the Kenoma? From himself? Who knows.) It would be pretty entertaining.

SHIT STIRRING - I want to plot shit stirring. /SLAMS FIST ON TABLE. So any characters who want to plot back stabbing, manipulating other characters, treachery (?) against the Regent, abductions or throwing characters to the wolves, COME HITHER. I will take conspirators and victims. 

OFFERED CR:

Heals - If you end up on the wrong side of PVP Emet can probably heal you. Probably.  

Piecing together mysteries - Despite all of what I have written, Emet is very smart and would love to unravel the mysteries of this world. Anyone want to do that? :')

Being a Problem - I think Emet has been a problem for everyone since he showed up here and I would like to continue the trend. If you're interested in problems, please inquire today.

Sad Feelings - This Grandpa can fit so many sad feelings in it /Slaps this Grandpa. If you want to relate to someone over losing your world and your loved ones and just be sad then here you go. 

Confrontations - Emet is a good person to have confrontations with if you're not feeling up to fighting or just want something paced differently. While he is a combatant he doesn't use that as a driving force for conflicts, so it can be an option.

PLOT HOOKS:

Cross-Faction - This is a work in progress, but Emet is working on learning the stories of individual Pleroma to know more about their motivations for wanting to save the world. He is *hoping* to use this information to manipulate them to the Kenoma or perhaps it can be used to some extent in the future. 

Help..ing - While Emet is a problem he does sincerely believe in the cause at this juncture and will help out other Kenoma if he believes it is in the Kenoma's best interest.  It'll be begrudging but there you go.

DESIRED CR: I never have strong feelings about this sort of thing. Rivalries, friendships, sworn enemies... it's all good. In general, Cid tends to get along with most people. He's only ever shown losing his temper with one person, and said person happens to be someone he's known since he was twelve.
OFFERED CR: Do you want a brilliant engineer who ran away from home after his dad was possessed by a monster hidden inside of a moon and subsequently blew up an entire city-state? Do you want said engineer to have a massive guilt complex and who spends all of his time atoning for things that were never his fault to begin with?

That's Cid!

He's come to have a creed, and numerous followers who follow it too, "freedom through technology", and he'll be doing all he can to keep that creed here, too. Even if the technology is far more limited than he's used to, it's not the sort of thing to ever stop him.

PLOT HOOKS: Cid is primarily interested in helping out the people of Greentruth, and hasn't actually been to Godsblood yet. He's been working on repairing weaponry for the rebels, and could fairly easily be persuaded to assist other Aions with similar tasks.

He's a complete non-combatant for the most part, though being a Garlean means that his third eye gives him a heightened since of awareness. He can't see out of it, but it does mean that he would make for an excellent lookout capable of noticing movement in rubble or dense trees.

EVENT PLANS: I tend to play by the seat of my pants, so I don't have anything in the works right now. He'd be willing to help out newcomers in Greentruth just in general, however.

LEGACY: Firebrand! I really wanted to lean into how Aerith's support in canon has her leading people around as opposed to just playing healer to them.

CHARACTER PITCH:

Aerith is your local florist and white mage with a bright future in wrestling. As an empathetic young woman growing up in the slums, she's street-wise and sweet to everyone around her, always trying to see people's points of view and believing them capable of good. This staunch belief in others gives way to a stubbornness that you'd only see from a particularly incensed mule: once she's set her mind on something, she's not letting go of it. Full of hope and a love for adventure, she loves trying new things and is hungry for freedom and her own life. She's lived in the slums for many years now, and prior to that was kept in Shinra's "care", so this is technically her first outing on her own. She's never had the chance to really make her own decisions and be, well, a person, so she might seem a little odd, but she means well!

"Disney princess on a smoke break" isn't too off the mark, basically.

DESIRED CR:

💐 As a general rule of thumb, I'm super excited and happy to go with "anything and everything." Aerith is an extrovert who loves helping others and builds community with people very well, so it's also easy enough to side-step first introduction to our characters if you like. She's also the sort of person to bail in the middle of a conversation and forget to introduce herself, so that's a fun avenue, too, if you like. She's completely on her own here in Horos, so she's generally just trying everything and missing people she loves like her mommy and besties. She expected them to come with!

💐 Bring me your grumps. Aerith teases, flirts, annoys and generally is just someone who is hard to get rid of once she has a bit of fun with you, or worms her way into a bit of your backstory. If you've ever needed someone who is a beacon of Fun, Fresh And Flirty to balance out your grumpy mcgrumperson, she's your girl.

💐 Yeah, bring me your bad guys. She always finds points of relation, or is the sort of person to listen to someone. She believes inherently that everyone has a reason for why they are the way they are, and while she might have a little bit of a fuse on her, she's usually the sort to ask why before biting.

💐 Does your character always somehow find themselves in Trouble? Are they in need of a buddy who quite literally say, "I'm a healer, but..."? I'd love for her to play white mage/support party to All Loving Idiot Heroes. She does well with people who mean well but need a reality check from time to time. Street-smart as she is, Aerith is a cautious person who likes to look at the big picture with consideration for feelings as well.

💐 While Aerith isn't easily manipulated, I'd love to long term plan some betrayals or even major fall out at some point. /gestures to canon. She's someone who will go off on her own to handle something, stubborn as she is, after all.

OFFERED CR:

💐 Aerith is a healer, in many sense of the word. While she has healing magic, she also is someone who heals communities and brings people closer together, looking for weak points to help close up. It's the Cetra in her. I'd love for her to do minor healing tricks for people, at least, but she's surprisingly patient and kind once you get to know her. Surprisingly.

💐 While she wants to be independent, Aerith isn't exactly well-versed in it. As such, I can offer someone who is pretty new to this whole 'being on your own' thing, who might struggle with making decisions from time to time. If you've got an older sibling sort of character, or are a Parent Friend, or even Actual Parent, they might be able to pick up on this sooner than others.

💐 Aerith is friend shaped. She gets along well with people, is friendly and outgoing and familiar with others, and not afraid to ask hard hitting questions. She loves to get to know others. She's spent some of her life captive and then had to be careful under Shinra's eye, struggling to make friends long-term through her childhood, however, so she's a little tricky at times. I'd love to see how this pans out in a setting where being a Cetra isn't going to hurt her, however.

💐 this is silly but i want her to work for someone and upcharge someone else because they annoyed her or she thinks they can afford it so if . you know. if. yeah. okay. i'll go.

PLOT HOOKS:

💐 In Remake, Cloud makes a beeline to deliver Rude the fight he wants. Aerith, however, grabs his arm and tells him that Rude isn't a bad guy, really! He's just associated with Shinra. Aerith isn't unlikely to do this with Kenoma aligned folks; she believes they're just people like her who have come to have different views on the world, and wants to understand. The Regent is the Bad Guy in her eyes, whereas everyone else is not unlike the Turks to her. She judges people on their direct actions. If that sounds appealing to you, we can work on something. This is probably an easy point of access for fooling her for a while, too, if you like!

💐 I'll probably be playing with some of the body horror and whatnot from going full Pleroma at some point, so!!!

💐 TDM stuff! I would love to make them canon over in game proper. We can try to finish our threads or handwave them at this point, whatever works for you. I had a nasty fall around Easter, so I was struggling to keep up for a while and even needed to actually... UGH... rest... But I loved my TDM experience so much, so let's talk about it!

EVENT PLANS:

Aerith is going to be Pleroma attuned pretty quickly, but she's very easy to talk to and keeps things close to her chest. If people want to try and change her mind still, that would be fun; it's not at all likely to work, but she'd be very interested in hearing other people's reasonings and getting to know them.

She's never had to pick out her own place to live, so she might be a little flighty on the whole thing. If anyone wants to fuss about her living conditions more than she would externally, I'd love that. She'll likely spend a good amount of time in Godblood as a general rule of thumb, at least until someone feels the need to shuffle her over to Greentruth. She likes getting to know the locals a lot and would spend a lot of her time helping people out as much as she can, from doing the odd chore or advising people on something. Expect to see her constantly doing something.

She's used to fighting monsters, too, so she'd be willing to try and handle some of the forest dinos if they prove to be more than a mild nuisance for people, but she might just as well give people a hard time for being so mean to dinos looking for love in all the wrong places in the loudest way possible. "You are trying so hard to kill a horny dinosaur and for what. What does that do for the ecosystem." — Aerith, probably

CHARACTER PITCH: Once a legendary dragon-slaying knight known as the Azure Dragoon, Estinien spent twenty years of his life obsessively pursuing revenge against Nidhogg, the great wyrm that butchered his family and village when he was still a child. For decades, the only thing on his mind was achieving this revenge, which has resulted in him having a severe lack of social development, no hobbies, no life prospects, and few skills outside of combat. After becoming possessed by the very dragon he was striving to kill, and discovering that the two of them actually had a lot in common and were both seeking revenge for the unconscionable wrongs done to them, he finally achieved some level of peace and was able to break the cycle of violence that ruled both his life and perpetuated the war destroying his nation. Having become hybridized with dragon aether and imbued with the emotions and memories of his old enemy, he vowed to become a champion for dragon and mankind both.

These days he's learned the power of love and friendship and, while still being inept at living a peaceful life for many reasons, is trying his best to honor his hard-won faith in peace by doing whatever the heroes need him to do. Despite his love for his friends, he's still only really good at killing things. He'd just a dragon-loving hobo doing his best.

DESIRED CR: I love to have people for Estinien to be worried about and watch over - he's really an actions over words guy, so it's awesome when there are people he can fight for. I'll also take Kenoma enemies - he's got a violent streak and finds it a bit too easy to go hard on people he's categorized as "enemy", but is also actively trying to be more empathetic, so there could be some complications there. He is deeply familiar with feelings of despair. Despite that, I've really been enjoying making him notorious among the Kenoma so I'm eager to continue inspiring ire.

OFFERED CR: A big brother type guy who is caring but sort of socially inept. A fighting partner. An enemy for people who go Kenoma. Really, he's very defensively team Pleroma, so if you are also Pleroma, he'll try to help you in whatever way he can. Which is mostly by fighting and/or being a wilderness hobo, but he'll try other stuff too. Right now he is putting everything into protecting the Pleroma and their interests, especially if it involves warfare.

PLOT HOOKS:
1) DRAGONS: Estinien is investigating the dragons in the Lohkimareen forest and will continue to do so this month. He's on good terms with the tiny bug-eating ones but he's been given some direction by Tehri about which others ones might be good to talk to. It's dragon diplomacy time!

2) FIGHTING EVERYONE: Estinien is gaining a reputation for being the Pleroma's resident dangerman and general iron fist. He's wounded several Kenoma so far and doesn't plan on stopping! He's currently recovering from the wounds he sustained from his multiple-day siege on the shrines (especially from fighting Howl, Binghe, and Makoto) but he's got healers on his side. I'm up for cross Sect sights of all kinds and am happy to antagonize Kenoma in any way that might be enjoyable for you. You are also free to try to take him out.

EVENT PLANS: When it comes to social get-togethers and introductions Estinien is mostly going to vibe, but he will be interested in helping other Pleroma take care of their practical concerns. If your character needs help attaining anything, Estinien will most likely help.

CHARACTER PITCH: A bright (literally and figuratively) teenage boy who's desire in life was just to Make Other People Happy. By playing a children's card game, but like, don't worry about the specifics. He's a sweetheart all loving protagonist with a Sad Past of parental abandonment and social ostracization, and then an interdimensional war happened that pushed his resolve to the limit.

Also he used to be the villain of the story and kinda destroyed the world. He feels bad about that now. He'd like to not be that person again.

DESIRED CR: Like, anything.

◪ A good boy (now) fairly full of hope although this whole situation does suck. He's very much an emotional supporter for people who need a shoulder to lean on or just someone to talk to.

◪ He's also very friendly and accepting of people, partly because he likes friends partly out of projection. It's fine. He'll talk to anybody.

◪ Yuya is very sympathetic to those with Kenoma and is really holding onto the possibility that they can be saved. This may extend to the Regent? He doesn't know enough about them but he knows what being a nihilistic villain felt like.

◪ He's begun learning the first steps of Aion magic, and that'll be developing into defense and healing.

◪ He has not accepted anything in the dream as real because his home and all his loved ones being obliterated would just make him snap, so. He's here for other people who need some sort of unproven faith/denial to avoid giving into despair.

PLOT HOOKS:

◪ With the newbies settling in Yuya intends to talk to leaders/elders in Greentruth for some history--namely how long it's been since Aions were last showing up, what happened, what the know of the Regent's rise in power. This is all stuff he'll share likely over communion.

◪ He has 0 practical skills right now but since his magic is going to move towards protection and healing he should expand his knowledge of first aid.

◪ He may not have card games anymore but he does still like to entertain people. Maybe he will juggle.

EVENT PLANS: In terms of settling in newbies: really just... that. Maybe help them scially integrate to Greentruth once they can pass over.

CHARACTER PITCH: Luo Binghe is a guy who was, in the fiction of the webnovel he's from, written to be the edgy Mary Sue half demon protagonist of an extremely gratuitous male power fantasy novel, in which he was supposed to take terrible revenge on all his enemies and accumulate a harem of 600 women with repetitively described quivering bosoms. This Luo Binghe is from a version of that webnovel where a dedicated hatereader got isekaied into it and ruined everything, creating a Binghe with even worse brain worms.
He is pretty good at pretending to be a nice polite boy even though he is a horrible little freak, but since arriving in Horos he has let his hair down a little bit and decided to allow himself to be sinister on main sometimes. He likes to pretend nothing matters to him but some of the blows to his ego he's taken due to his OP protagonist powers getting nerfed have left him feeling kind of needy and extra receptive to validation. His dick can heal most poisons.

DESIRED CR: Would love for him to get obsessed with more people. Currently he's a bit obsessed with Estinien because Estinien witnessed him in a moment of emotional vulnerability and later beat him in a fight but this isn't enough for me. I need to fill all his quadrants I want positive obsession. I want someone to convince him he can trust them, which will cause him to become completely deranged about them. CHARACTER PITCH: Local depressed man burdened with life spends all his time reading webnovels. One day, his world adopts the premise of his favorite webnovel (which he read a bunch of times like a freak), and he goes through the presented scenarios with relative ease because he's so familiar with the story. Lots of bad things happen considering Dokja's favorite pastime is creating problems for himself, and now he's more depressed than ever. But chugging through it poorly.

DESIRED CR:

• People to get along with!! Dokja is very surface level friendly most of the time, so he's somewhat easy to chat with but he's always going to be a little cagey and suspicious. People who want to dive a little deeper than that to put in some effort to get him to open up would be neato.
  
• ENEMIES... Dokja is also very good at pissing people off or rubbing them the wrong way. He can say some really out of pocket shit and make people go "who tf is this asshole?"
  
• Optimistic types that are like HEY YOU KNOW LIFE IS WORTH LIVING RIGHT? People who love the world, people who love people, people who are happy to take him by the hand or shoulders and shake him out of his sad feelings.
  
• The cop-out answer of ANYTHING... I can roll with literally any and all kinds of cr. I'm not picky at all and I love negative and positive cr like they are my children. I'm super easy with it all.

OFFERED CR: I wish I could offer someone cool and capable, but I'm really just playing a total loser. He's very picky about who he wants to care about because once he cares he's in that shit For Life, so I guess I could offer a loyal friend? Who would immediately sacrifice himself for your character if the opportunity presented itself. He's also the sort to do shady stuff so if your character wants to partake or be like gasp that's morally WRONG then that's cool, too. Also he isn't too sure about his role in the Pleroma atm because he's neck deep in his own bag of issues, so if someone wants to be like hey let's hash this out and cement our feelings about how the worlds SHOULD SURVIVE and what we can do to stop it then also good.

PLOT HOOKS: Dokja recently almost died so he's still recovering from that + the psychic damage he took at the time. He's a little more lost than usual and will probably go around trying to distract himself by meeting newcomers and generally sticking his nose into business that isn't his. He's mostly camped out in Godsblood right now with no real desire to meet the rebels in Greentruth. If someone wants to push him to be like hey, let's go check out Greentruth!! he could use that.

EVENT PLANS: Meeting new faces, recovering from his near death experience, getting scolded for his near death experience, etc. I'm so bad at planning I just fly by the seat of my pants and go with the flow.

so, you know, she decides to take control of her life by taking the older brother as her toy (stay with me now), gaslighting and seducing him (and managing to get him to fall for her jfc), all the while plotting to free him so as to avoid the trainwreck that's the novel's plot. she just wants peace and quiet, thanks.

CHARACTER PITCH: Jerkass woobie Batman (Bunnyman?) who becomes a corporate-sponsored superhero to avenge the deaths of his parents. He starts out cold, aloof and untrusting of his partner, Wild Tiger, and pretends to be only interested in accruing points for Hero TV while presenting himself to the public as a perfect hero, but both these sides of him are facades. He's emotionally very fragile because of his past, though over the course of many struggles together, he warms up to Wild Tiger and comes to trust him completely.

DESIRED CR: Barnaby's kind of a mess at the moment as he's taken the circumstances regarding his world ending particularly hard, and he had to be forced to join the Kenoma, which only made those feelings worse. At this point, he'll latch on to anyone who shows him kindness. Conversely, he has a lot less patience for negative CR (though I oocly welcome it!). He won't trust quickly, but he will at least try to seek out like-minded people who are sceptical of the Regent and the Kenoma's overall objectives.

OFFERED CR: Despite being a Kenoma, he was a superhero in his own world who dedicated his career to saving people, so that might add an interesting perspective from either side of the Kenoma/Pleroma divide about the types of people who make up either faction. He'll always try to help others in trouble of any alignment (or none). He won't make friends easily, but will be polite by default and try to avoid conflict while he gets to grips with the situation. As mentioned above, he responds well to kindness, even if in this setting, he'll assume it comes with an ulterior motive.

PLOT HOOKS: Barnaby will mostly be exploring Achamoth and getting himself acquainted with the city. Being treated like a god by the public won't be too different to how he's used to being treated during his hero work, so he'll just go along with it for the time being. In general, he wants to investigate and learn as much about the Regent and Kenoma as he can, as he doesn't trust them and wants to make up his own mind on how to proceed.

Ciel made him aware there are orphans and rescued children in the city who are taken into the Regent's care, so he will visit the orphanage himself to make sure the children there are doing well. He has a soft spot for orphans in canon, so he'll want to help look out for them here as well. 😢

For Pleroma characters, Barnaby would be willing to engage with them and hear their side of the story, as he's very paranoid of being manipulated by the Regent. Conversely, given his mental state... he's still open to manipulation from either side tbh, so any longterm CR that might want to sway him either way would be interesting. I'm happy to hash this out in more detail as our characters interact and their relationship develops.

EVENT PLANS: As above, he'll be interested in exploring the city and gathering information. Unlike how reluctant he acted in the lodestone cavern, he'll take to the celebrity treatment quickly since it's old hat for him, although he might wind up being a liiittle too good at mingling with the public that he winds up with a flash mob of fans, oops. Rescue him???

He'll choose a retainer pretty quickly, and have them stick with him for a lot of his city explorations. He'll try and avoid the entertainment district as he'll find it distasteful, but other characters are welcome to try dragging him along anyway to get him to loosen up, even if it's just to go for drinks somewhere.

PLEROMA MINGLE PLANNING

hey all!! sticking this here for folks who aren't in the discord for visibility:

we were thinking it might be best to organize a two-pronged assault to welcoming Pleroma newbies!

💠 First - a Communion/Godsblood post taking place around the time everyone is trickling to the city post TDM
💠 Second - a mid-month mingle when folks would have reasonably attuned to Pleroma and would be making it to Greentruth.

the Greentruth log would serve as a "catch all" for all Pleroma-related shenanigans for the month (pre-event) including a "welcome party" of sorts at Greentruth to celebrate the arrival of new Aions (think a fireside gathering and cookout kind of deal). there will be headers for different prompts (like characters bringing up important subjects or discussing logistics like armory and resources at the gathering) as well as exploration (forest exploration, dino observing, checking out Godsblood, etc) - so if your character would either 1) play a leadership role in getting this all together or 2) would contribute something to the gathering in some way you'd like to plan out, please reply here! you are also free to make your own header under any of the applicable prompts on the log (say to bring up a unique topic or offer help with learning a skill) once it goes live.

Ore gathering/weapons acquisition

So! The Pleroma are quite low on resources in terms of money and available weapons/tools compared to the Kenoma. Narrowing that gap will be a whole thing, by the looks of it! Here's the query thread to the mods for it so far.

As mentioned there, I'll be looking to have El put up a network post (sometime this week?) to ICly accrue interest and see what they might have in terms of collective abilities/resources and what they might still need. The end goal of this is of course to supply well-forged weapons/gear to those characters that will need them.
