NEW PLAYERS
Welcome to Aion Teleos! This is our CR meme, for old and new players alike to introduce themselves and to begin plotting for the month ahead. As you're settling into the game, here are a few things you should note:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
◆ SECT ATTUNEMENT: New characters will have to declare their sect attunements on the Attunement page. Those who are starting in the Kenoma will be attuned as of the start of their introduction, but those who have been taken by the Pleroma may take up until the end of the month to do so. Alternatively, they can attune almost immediately if they are unconflicted about their desire to fight the Regent. The main restriction caused by not attuning to the Pleroma right away will be that unattuned characters cannot travel to the Greentruth rebellion stronghold.
◆ NETWORK (COMMUNION): As soon as a character is attuned to either the Pleroma or the Kenoma, they will be able to access Communion, Aion Teleos's network system. This is written about in the game's info pages, but more details can be found here. This skill can be found by accident or taught by another character.
◆ AION GLAMORS: To help ease gameplay for characters who will stick out like a sore thumb in the setting, we want to make it known that there will be a relatively weak 'glamor' type spell available to learn in Greentruth for new Pleroma. This will have to be pursued ICly, but it is out there, and will be achievable by Tier 1 attunement.

CHARACTER INTRO MINGLES
There will be no mod posted mingle log set up for new players; instead, we are encouraging veteran characters to set up mingles in the various game locations. Our reasoning for this is that, at least on the Pleroma side, there is no set mingle point that will be, by default, accessible to all characters, meaning that some IC thought and proactivity will have to go into how best to accommodate them. Additionally, this will be an opportunity for characters to ICly flex their leadership skills and receive IC reputation (and a small IC gift) for doing so. If you make a mingle log, makes sure to include it in your notable actions on your AC!
We won't leave you entirely without direction, though! Below are some ideas to get people started, and to give an idea of what the environment in each location will be. We will be happy to answer any questions and help with logistics where needed. Alongside this, new players are welcome to make their own open posts on the logs comm.

◆ ACHAMOTH: Once new arrivals have accepted the Kenoma, they will be welcomed into the Citadel along with the rest of their kindred. Most things in the "A Deity's Welcome" and "Exploration" prompts of this log will still apply (we will be converting all of this into a separate info page ASAP but we haven't had the time this month) and so it can be referenced to get an idea of accommodations. The major difference is the lack of dinner time with the Regent; according to their apparent second in command (Xishen, for those that know her), they are preoccupied at the moment, and have asked for the other Kenoma to take charge when it comes to catching up the new recruits. All of Achamoth's facilities and resources are at their disposal to do so.
Achamoth's citizens are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. They will be eager to offer places for the Kenoma Aions to meet in. Though it is now the Innocent's Moon, it largely goes unremarked on by the residents here, and if it is, only scornfully.
◆ GODSBLOOD: Once the shrines have stopped producing hatchlings, Godsblood will be the first stop for most Pleroma newcomers. By either swimming up through the ocean waters or taking a series of narrow tunnels to the surface, they will find themselves on this edge of this coastal city. It is much the same as it is in this linked post, though the Lover's Festival is now over. While most Aions are capable of blending in thanks to Horos's highly diverse biology, those that are taurs or completely non-mammalian may need some help from other Pleroma to get around without arousing suspicion. Godsblood resists the Regent's control, but it is far from completely safe. Characters may have to work together to find a place to house these new arrivals, whether that be in a safe part of the city or the nearby mountains.
There are seemingly no large festivals planned for the month of Inoseri, but in contrast with the Moon of the Innocent, there does seem to be a sense of unrest. Word of the conflicts at the shrines is spreading around, along with the realization that both Aion sects are now active. It's an ill portent for those old enough to remember the last Aion war. Regardless of the Pleroma's intent, there are those among the people here that resent the fact that their resistance may bring about another era of suffering, and will be suspicious of any new faces they see. At the same time, there are those that are enticed by this new chance to hope, and may be willing to put themselves on the line to see it flourish.
◆ GREENTRUTH: Only those that have officially attuned to the Pleroma will be able to take the portal to Greentruth, a magical passage hidden in a secure location beneath the city streets. They can be shown the way by those that know it, but discretion is of the utmost concern. Upon arriving in the heart of this rebellion stronghold, they will find the atmosphere is more lively and hopeful than it has been for decades. The resurgence of Kenoma has revitalized the Resistance and travel between Greentruth and the smaller settlements is at an all time high as materials and specialists move where needed. Aions are sought after by locals for insight and advice on larger projects as well as smaller personal notes of interest ranging from disputes between neighbors and what kind of wood would be best for this bow. Aions may not have all the answers, but will be encouraged to engage so they can better establish their presence and gain insight to the inner workings of the forest.
Inoseri is known as a time of peace and serenity, but not for the local wildlife. It's mating season for a species of forest dinosaur that is known for it's loud distinct call. This trumpeting sound can be heard for miles and will be nearly constant at the beginning of the month. This is equally frustrating for Greentruth residents as it is for other fauna. Aions will find that animals are more unruly than usual and hunting will be difficult, so any assistance provided to the Greentruth hunters will be appreciated. They will just have to hope they do not cross paths with a would be dinosaurian suitor.
There will be a mission styled event happening later in the month which will call both sects towards the city of Venera. ICly characters will not become aware of this until the plotting post goes up. Meanwhile, as the month of Inoseri begins, all Innocents will feel a strange sense of presence... almost as if there is someone standing with them, even when they are alone.Achamoth's citizens are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. They will be eager to offer places for the Kenoma Aions to meet in. Though it is now the Innocent's Moon, it largely goes unremarked on by the residents here, and if it is, only scornfully.

NAME: Rin Yamaoka AKA "The Spirit"
CANON: Dead by Daylight
LEGACY: Firebrand (yea one of those)
SECT: Kenoma
CHARACTER PITCH: Lonely college student from a once proud Samurai lineage becomes a vengeful spirit doing the bidding of an eldritch being once she and her mother are murdered by her crazed father. Said entity may actually have incidentally orchestrated her murder, making it one big unfortunate cycle. Rin, or "The Spirit" as she is now known, only has one goal--to enact her vengeance on her father. Everything else is second and she will do anything to achieve that goal, including align herself with other unseemly characters and cut down any who stand in her path. Her obsessive, singular focus makes her a tool to spread the pain that she still feels. She will not know rest.
DESIRED CR: Rin has a hard time making friends so I honestly would love for her to have some Kenoma buddies! She trusts women more than men but don't let that stop you. She is very weak to kindness.
Other rage-fueled people or anyone who is also bent on vengeance because that's how you bond.
I'm generally open since she's brand new!
OFFERED CR: Unstable vengeful spirit buddy?? She is actually fairly...nice. When she's not in murder mode. A little on the quiet side and not super trusting of others, but she is already fully in on this Regent business. So if you're here for that too she's gonna assume you have SOMETHING in common. Also she can definitely be used for fighting so don't hesitate to point her into the direction of your enemies.
Rin will always come with warnings of body horror and murder (both being murdered and murderous intent so I totally understand if you would rather not interact. No hard feelings!
PLOT HOOKS: Rin is a vengeful spirit/onryo and therefore may be...creepy and haunting at times. But that's cute, right? But Rin is very weak to kindness and doesn't always know how to react when it's bestowed upon her which means you should do that. She is actually very lonely and would love some connection to other people. She can turn invisible for short periods of time so there is potential for spooky incidental jump scares.
EVENT PLANS: None specifically but I will have her attend any sort of Kenoma mingle that goes up! She will probably be a wallflower so people help a ghost girl out.
ANYTHING ELSE? Let her be cute...

But regardless I am here to at least make one (1) attempt at CR with Rin before it inevitably crumbles into dust before my eyes and I burst into tears. Technically Eustace is nice somewhere deep down and technically he would absolutely understand her drive for VENGEANCE but the getting there.............hm. Usually he's pretty good around people who aren't outright annoying or stupid so there's....that. 😬
I wish I could be any more useful but unfortunately he's also the type of character to immediately judge someone based on first meeting so it's kind of a toss-up.

I am down to see what happens! Attempts that even end up in them being angee is still good development. Then we could force them to have to work together in some capacity which could be fun in and of itself.
Honestly she would see his ears and quietly think to herself "oh no...cute... ;;"
no subject
But yah, seeing how things unfold sounds like a good plan to me! And two wary people forced to work together on something is always a joy for me. I know there's the Kenoma mingle going up soonish (maybe???) but I'm not sure if Rin would go? Is she a fan of parties...
no subject
Yes, she will go! She wants to make a "good impression" however much that is possible, even if she will probably be awkward there. I'm not sure she's a fan of parties given she probably hasn't been to many...but Misa is throwing it! So she will do it for Misa!
no subject
But awww that's really cute, we all love and support our queen Misa-Misa...! Maybe they can both wallflower for a bit off in one corner or something, since it's (mostly formal) welcoming party, he'll actually be on semi-good behavior for once.

but on a more serious note misa would totally support her vengeance mission too, sometimes people just need to be killed?? she sees no problems here 😌 i'm looking forward to tagging her!!

See, she understands so well...they can stay up late at night talking about who deserves to die.

VENGEANCE BUDS... I would like this

There's also fun stuff about patricide
that doesn't apply now given the canonpointbut EVENTUALLY he does get killed by his OWN DAUGHTER (albeit accidental)... so it will be interesting to play off of! 👀no subject
Omg...what? Seriously? This is FULL CIRCLE they were clearly meant to meet. I LOVE this!
no subject
Maybe they can be friends!! Maybe Gray will stand on the opposite side of the room from her at all times!! Either way I feel like there's a lot of potential!
no subject
Rin would love friends so much! She doesn't have many so that's something that's important for me to get her in between murder spree.
no subject
Anyway, Gray would probably be avoiding Rin as much as possible as a general phasmophobia thing, but if she's catching dreams of Rin's living memories (which is canonly persistent for her, but if it's easier I can just say it only happens occasionally here), she might do a number of things as a result!
(a) if they're all awful and horrible memories, Gray will probably just lose a lot of sleep and suffer at night indefinitely until she's forced to interact with Rin :')
(b) if it's a mix of good and bad, she'll probably just watch them all and still avoid Rin for a while until she gets a sense that Rin is friendly enough to not horribly murder Gray for invading her privacy :')
(c) if they're largely good then she'll try talking to Rin...... much sooner
(Regardless of all this, Gray can just run into Rin in a hallway or something ahaha)
Gray is a huge voyeur sorry....... She'd also be trying to decipher Rin's personality through little cues and mannerisms like her footsteps, voice, and habits, so if you have an appetite to drop those details on me, I'll be happy to hear them!
no subject
BUT she will also get a sprinkling of Rin having quiet, peaceful moments with her mother (both before and after her sickness) as well as a few moments where Rin has decided NOT to kill someone (though she later suffers punishment for it).
If she's watching Rin as she is, she will see that Rin is actually trying Very Hard to make a good impression on her new Colleagues, as she sees them. She's very respectful towards the "senior" members (initial Aions) and is eager to please them. Rin gets spooky/scary when she gets startled or scared or is in full on hunting mode. She's kind of a 180 of "you can talk to this nice ghost girl" and "if you run for your life she will enjoy the chase".
no subject
In light of recent knowledge that the quickest way to Venera from Achamoth will be A Boat, will Rin be taking said boat for the event? If so, that could be an easy way to force Gray to talk to her... :|a
