Rise to the Challenge!
While nothing so drastic as what was inflicted by the Innocent, as Visoseri's full moon approaches, a curious sensation will be felt in the air by Horos's Visionaries. They will feel empowered, somehow, as if they have the strength to reach the heights they have so often dreamed of, becoming the truest versions of themselves. What's more, they will discover that they now have the strength to call out this potential from others. The spirit of the Visionary has arrived to demand your passion, your improvement, your glorious transcendence... and when it asks, you'll find it almost impossible to say no.
This event will last from the 10th to the 25th of Visoseri.

◆ RISE TO THE CHALLENGE! (VISIONARY): Blessed by the power of the Visionary's Moon, Horos's Visionaries will find themselves able to issue magically charged 'challenges' to other Aions. Similar to offering a 'dare', these challenges have the potential to apply a compulsion affect to those they spoken to. Once heard, the receiving Aion will feel the insatiable urge to fulfill the objective they have been given to their highest ability, the need to complete it haunting their thoughts until the event period ends. Sometimes, this compulsion will go as far as convincing the affected Aion that it was their idea in the first place. Once their objective has been completed the compulsion will leave them. These challenges can be made either intentionally or accidentally.
However, this is not without caveats. The challenge cannot simply be any command that the Visionary finds convenient, it must specifically encourage the character to fulfill their potential in some way, such as testing their skills, following through on a task they were not brave enough to do normally, or anything that could fall under the concept of "high risk, high reward." Challenges cannot be anything that is objectively detrimental to the character receiving it, such as straightforwardly harming themselves or performing acts that will only cause them trouble. The more in line with a character's nature the challenge is, the stronger the compulsion effect will be, while inversely, challenges completely against their nature will have severely reduced potency.
Though not foolproof, Visionaries will be better able to contact characters via communion during this event, even if they would normally be on someone's theoretical 'block list', or if their Shard is not exposed. However, while this compulsion effect is very strong ICly, please remember there must be allowances made for OOC comfort. If a command is not OOCly desired, it can be said that the compulsion simply fails to take hold due to fluctuations in Horos's magical energies or because the receiver somehow managed to avoid internalizing what they were told to do.
An Aion can only be under the effect of one challenge at a time.

Champions will find themselves able to issue challenges in a manner similar to their Visionary cousins, the only difference being that they will only have enough power to issue one or two challenges total.
◆ LIVING FOR THE CHALLENGE: If an Aion has received and completed a challenge from a Visionary, they will find themselves able to issue one challenge to another character in turn. This challenge will follow the same rules as the Visionary version and can be issued either intentionally or accidentally. Only completed challenges that were initially made by a Visionary will have this bonus effect.
◆ GREENTRUTH: While the abundant energies affecting Horos are uncommon, what isn't unusual is Greentruth's appreciation for Tehri, their patron Aion and noted Visionary. Seeing Visoseri as an unofficial celebration of her presence, Greentruth's people treat it rather like a birthday, making small offering of letters, gifts, flower crowns, and other treats to her as the full moon approaches.

Hayame has been really torn on how much to devote her service to these Pleroma people and more just on if it's even worth trying to survive in this crazy place, and I think if there's buzz about Tehri this month she might try to find a way to demand (er, ask) a meeting with this so-called leader in order to judge what she's doing here/if it's worth the absolute struggle of playing nice with others. I know y'all said in the State of the Game that NPC threading is kind of swamped atm, but would it be possible to 1) have Hayame meet with Tehri and 2) get a summary or quick chat of how that might go/what the sort of "official" Pleroma pitch is/how she'd respond to being asked why the resistance deserves allegiance/what her answer is to 'are our worlds okay/can we get back'?

1. Although Childe usually makes all his weapons out of water, I want to get him some dual blades. Where would be the best place for really good weapons of this sort and would it require more than coin? D
I don't need to know the details ATM, I can later request them on story plotting if it's an involved process, but just curious about the process.
2. I saw Ari's plotting about going to Godsblood in story plotting, so if this isn't okay due to the circumstances, I can easily have Childe go another time! I was just curious if it's possible for a Kenoma aion to go undercover and just wander/observe/simply look around? He won't do anything or ask any questions, he's just curious to see what a place like Godsblood is made of (in terms of people and environment.)
Also, I was interested in their fishing just because Childe loves fishing, but after reading the discussion thread with Ari, I'm guessing they won't be very okay with a stranger wanting to go fishing in their reefs for fun?
I technically had plans to have Childe meet with Himeka so I'm ultimately curious if Godsblood can work for that or if it should be somewhere outside of it where fishing is also available.

If you could throw me something you think that would "benefit" them by way of self-improvement, I could will give you a few possible silly/serious scenarios.
HICCUP HADDOCK III | VISIONARY | PLEROMA
As he's usually very much constantly searching and improving, he'll probably feel the effect as a Visionary quite well :') And have a desire to help others too. His challenges would largely be things about acceptance of others and facing fears to learning new skills. He may even feel likely to challenge people to literally explore new heights (safely) of course. Or go deep into the forest to check out dinos.
More silly ones/joke-y ones are always on the table! I want to use this as an excuse to deepen CR bonds and create new ones (because he wouldn't leave someone to a task alone or what not) . I'll also probably use it a bit to lean into improving himself since I took him from a canon point where that's Not Great so maybe someone will notice he's not as... somber. (He's not super somber now but he's gonna be Extra Hiccupy this month, so please be aware minor disasters may occur for better or worse :') ).

in terms of other event things, he’ll pop into greentruth to briefly wish tehri a happy tehriday and if anyone is planning on bringing her gifts/flowers/cakes please let dextera get involved. otherwise he’s going to gift her some cool rocks he found in the woods.
…other than that, and therefore somewhat unrelated to the event, i’m hoping to use this month to slow down and catch up on less directly involved event things. since he’ll be in greentruth for a bit, i’d especially like him to start looking into crafting magic items (loosely defined since he doesn’t use traditional “magic”) and other tools/traps/etc in anticipation of the relative peace ending at any time. pls let me know if your character would either like to help or would benefit from one of these things—i might put up an open log later if something more pleroma-as-a-group doesn’t show up before i do.
he’ll also be casually gathering information on no defined timeline within the month, particularly in godsblood and venera (surreptitiously)! this means he’ll be pretty accessible to all sorts of characters for some more low-key CR building and passive pleromization.

If he happens to get a dare from a Visionary and gets a dare of his own, he'd probably challenge your character to do something sensible like... practice proper self-care... seriously he's so concerned for you people pls just take a nap, eat a balanced diet, and stop drinking/smoking/whatever so much??? He'll just be a turbo nag, sorry. If your character isn't quite that level of walking disaster, I'm sure we can come up with another idea, so I'm down for discussion!
For general plotting this will probably fall either late this month or early next month before the July event, but for any Kenoma who want to help volunteer looking out for the orphans in Achamoth, Barnaby, Ciel and Amos are going to be taking them on a field trip! The Regent won't permit them to go any further than the greater Achamoth area, but I'm thinking there will be a picnic and activities 🥺 Sometimes you need some wholesomeness to break up the Kenoma doom and gloom.
Edit: The above will be a beach trip for the kids and the log will go up on 21st June! Feel free to handwave Barnaby mentioning this to your character if you'd like them to come along for beach episode shenanigans.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo | Champion | Pleroma
Ryu will primarily be in Greentruth but he may also be spending a good chunk of time going in and out of Godsblood for reasons I'll expound upon further down. He will also very briefly be back in Venera I think around the time the event is starting??? He'll be there w/ Lumine and Dextera, properly undercover and avoiding trouble as much as possible, so options for encountering him there will be fairly limited but not impossible.
He has a two physical changes and two new powers worth commenting on. Post Event #3, he experienced a newfound surge of determination regarding his desire to protect the people around him, and this has unwittingly started him off on the process of taking on various draconic traits. The most obvious change is that he now has two little horns coming from the top of his forehead which resemble those found on a Japanese Serow. He's starting to develop patches of scales around some joints (shoulders/knees) but these are less obvious because they're under his clothes.
With his normie discount he was able to net two new minor powers after the last AC round. He now has Insight, a special mode of vision that lets him read someone's aura to tell if they're experiencing great determination/resolve or doubts (detailed writeup on how that works is here), and the very goofily named Bengoshi Bubbles, which lets him cast a golden bubble shaped forcefield around himself or another person. The bubble soaks up damage until it pops; the popping creates a knockback effect in a small radius centered around whoever or whatever was inside the bubble.
Around Greentruth: he's going to be training in self-defense, survival, and some combat skills pretty hard, as well as practicing with his new powers. He can also be recruited for helping w/ Tehri birthday stuff or just general downtime shenanigans.
Working With Godsblood: now that he's been in game a month I'm interested in having Ryunosuke start looking to apply his more diplomatic/persuasive skills for the benefit of the Pleroma. Essentially, I'm hoping to get him involved in Godsblood's government or leadership in some way that can maybe eventually help facilitate convincing the leaders of the city to reject the Regent and align more solidly with the Pleroma. I'm still trying to figure out the specifics, but. If your character has stuff going on in Godsblood that you would like to integrate into this, or if they're going for the same thing and you'd like for them to work together on it, PLEASE hit me up :3b (I'm also just like, open to suggestions around this in general, I know what the goal is but I'm kind of stuck on what the first step should be, so to speak.)
For the actual event prompt: Ryunosuke gets two Challenges to issue as a member of the Champion Legacy. I have no idea what he'd use them for! Since they're limited I'm going to have to be careful about who I use them on, but I WOULD like to actualy use them, so make your cases if you'd like! He'd be more likely to challenge people to like... IDK, be honest, or put their trust in another person... Sentimental things like that, but really I'm open to anything.
For accepting challenges... IDK just bully him a little I guess. He could stand to be more self confident and stick up for HIMSELF more often so, if you wanna challenge him on something that'll actually lead to some self improvement, those would be the ideal.

He's a headstrong idiot who's very easy to provoke. I'm open to ideas so long as it doesn't result in him getting horribly maimed.
As far as new powers, Cid has one, the ability to summon a plain-looking circular shield. He's mechanically a gladiator without a shield, now he has a shield and no sword! But in all seriousness, he'd absolutely use it to defend himself and other people, though it really is just a normal shield, so its ability to reflect magic is going to be limited.
Anyway, as for some hooks, though he would not bring it up with people who aren't already, but he has some very strong guilt issues associated with things that are not actually his fault, so if someone wants to challenge him to... maybe stop internalizing that a bit, it would be very helpful. Alternatively, someone could opt to make it even worse. Generally, he'd be very easy to provoke into accepting a challenge, and I'm also willing to plot out specific things, should people want him for something specific.
When it comes to travel, Cid will mostly be sticking to Greentruth as usual, though he does want to go to Godsblood to look at their technology and see if there's a way to introduce elements of it to the Resistance. He's more likely to go there if others want to join him, even if only briefly.

🏹 If any relevant Legacies are interested in issuing a challenge, though, I'm all for it! (But I must confess that without very specific circumstances or apologies, challenging Hayame will put your character on her shit list if she can link cause and effect. She does not... like... magic... especially on her.)
🏹 Some potential positive challenges that could benefit her/Pleroma I might suggest could be things like "getting along with others" or "sharing her weapons training expertise with her fellows"? But open to most anything!
🏹 I'm also probably going to be mean to her and she'll have her breeding season hit her right in this nice gap between happenings... Which means she will be noticably frustrated around men... like even more than usual. Anyone familiar with equine behavior or just an observant type can feel free to notice why, since there are very obvious physical signs like tail-raising, a distinctive scent, and how she will refuse to stand close to or upwind from men for about a week. Also the blushing, mention at your own risk.
🏹 She will also be combating her urges by doing ridiculous things like standing angrily under waterfalls and wading in rivers, sorry for taking up your water space...
I'll be trying to wrap up previous month Innocence event threads in the coming while, so I'm open to new gen things or meetings in addition to potential Visionary event stuff!
