EVENT #5: CONFLICT OUTCOMES

Conflict Outcomes
GODSBLOOD
A document has been submitted to us by the players indicating the general plans of both the Kenoma and the Pleroma with regards to Vaeka's execution. Overall, efforts seem to be balanced: there are roughly the same number of contributors on both sides, both plans seem solid, and there are no unexpected curveballs. Because of this, we will be deciding whether Vaeka lives or dies with a 50/50 dice roll.

PLEASE REMEMBER: this represents a narrative result, not the outcome of a single action or moment. No matter how the players decide to have events unfold past this point, a 1-50 dice roll will mean that Vaeka will have to end up dead one way or the other, while a 51-100 roll will result in her surviving mostly intact and escaping the city. Based on the plans we've been given and requests made down below, we will be creating a generalized prompt for what happens with her. If need be, we can also make rolls to determine which characters are in the "spotlight" for certain key moments if there is contention for that as well (IE if there is a dispute over who gets to make the killing blow or something of that caliber).

Please make any request you have for the circumstances of her ultimate escape or execution down below. The roll determining which sect is the victor will be done at 8 EST, July 13th.

VENERA
Based on what we've observed, Venera is also roughly balanced in terms of contributors. Unfortunately for the Kenoma, there are 2.5 traitors in their midst, which will damage their efforts considerably. Because of this, rolls for whether the Veneran targets live or die will be 40/60, with a 1-40 victory for the Kenoma, and a 41-100 victory for the Pleroma.

We will start out by doing a series of 10 rolls, representing 10 NPCs that are on the hit list. Based on the dice roll, each option will be designated either a Pleroma or Kenoma victory. Once the list of victories has been determined, players will be allowed to claim wins and losses from the list, at which point they can plot with other players and plan the nature of the victory and the specific qualities of the NPC themselves. Even if a victory or loss is 'claimed' by one person, there is no limit to how many characters can be involved with it in a narrative sense.

Veneran rebel NPCs will generally be characters that were either touched by the actions of the Aions or infuriated by the seeming indifference of the Regent's wider forces during the Innocence plague. While there are a few that have been cultivating anti-Regent sentiments for a long time, most of them have only recently begun engaging in seditious behavior, and any sort of 'resistance' force in Venera is new, untested, and fairly inexpert in their practices. The ones on the hit list are almost entirely the new flock of seditionists inspired by the plague, as the long terms resistance types in Venera were experienced enough to not get caught.

Beyond that, these NPCs are essentially just regular people who have decided to take a stand, one way or the other. Many may be panicked or despairing at the fact that their attempts to make a difference are being quashed already. Some of those long terms rebels may be able to help hide them if they aren't otherwise helped, but there are some player lead planning in progress to help the survivors escape the city entirely and get somewhere safe.

NOTE: We are starting out with 10 rolls, but may add more if they fill up quickly. Additionally, if you have a previously made NPC that you want to base a thread around, or that you want an individual mod roll made for, you can either let us know what outcome you'd like for them or ask for RNG here.

Hello! I have an NPC I would like a mod roll for. She's an older woman who volunteers at a hospital kitchen who Binghe met during the Innocence event and became attached to due to her patting him on the head and thinking he was a sweet boy. Unfortunately some of the other old ladies she hangs out with have been Saying Some Things since the Innocence plague and she has been targeted for seeking out banned pamphlets.

When Cid was infected with the Innocence sickness, an older woman offered him water. Though he's uncertain whether or not she was aware he's an Aion, Cid will be making it a priority to get her to safety, as she risked herself for him.

Given she did this in public, she could easily have been seen by someone.

BLESS OLD LADY LUCK.

She would certainly have gone on to sympathize with the Pleroma, and though she's a granny and not a fighter, would have gone on to knit in various seditious symbols into donated blankets.

Archer and I have agreed to let Ryunosuke's host family get out unscathed since Ryu is taking an L in the process of protecting them.

It's a family consisting of a wife, her partner, a granny, and two kids.

Gotcha! Yeah sorry, I was hasty in posting the family up without much description; I was drawing a blank on what the specifics of their activities were so I just kind of... left it to fill in later, haha... I'll add what I've got here now.

The extended lore I was turning around in my mind is that both parents started getting into more shit after being inspired by interacting w/ Ryu (and perhaps other aions) during the contagion. Ryu has gone back to Venera after the innocence event (and before this event) and visited them, and while there told them what he learned about Helico; so possibly their sedition has something to do with that forbidden knowledge, if that is a detail that would make sense? As for what they do, they're both wood carvers (sculptors specifically, not furniture makers).

Re: the rest of the family, I was figuring the granny and two kids weren't actually targets, but Ryunosuke would just encourage the whole family to relocate just to be safe, hence their inclusion in the writeup.

Kim will be ensuring a nurse who took care of him at a medical clinic in Venera during the Innocence event won't be punished for doing so, especially since he was trying to avoid treatment/association with locals in the first place.

Jill and I have already discussed Kim rescuing her from Silco in a PVP thread. Kim has the element of surprise with his power on his side, but he'll allow Silco to get away in order to get the NPC to safety.

Hello! Looking for a mod roll here. Hiccup stayed with a family when helping with repairs that Howl/Kaeya had messed up their tavern during the Innocence event (did ask them for permission! the family was most fleshed out from Hiccup). They're a family of three: mother, father, and nine-year-old boy. They didn't necessarily know Hiccup was an Aion at first, but after his encounter with Howl likely knew they both were and said nothing/still allowed him to stick around as he helped with what little he could.

me, knocking on the door a little late... sorry modfriends. been a rough weekend.

a young man that toge saved using his cursed speech during some building restoration efforts (with kaeya as a witness) also happens to be one participating in rebellious activities: mostly through word of mouth while also distributing paraphernalia regarding resisting the regent. he would have known there was something special about toge, given that he had no option but to obey the given command when ordered.

this npc is the friendly, charismatic type that makes fast friends and holds no grudges. he wishes he could do more but knows that he's best as a firestarter and not the fire itself, so to speak.

i'd like for him to survive!
