EVENT #5: CONFLICT OUTCOMES
Conflict Outcomes
GODSBLOOD
A document has been submitted to us by the players indicating the general plans of both the Kenoma and the Pleroma with regards to Vaeka's execution. Overall, efforts seem to be balanced: there are roughly the same number of contributors on both sides, both plans seem solid, and there are no unexpected curveballs. Because of this, we will be deciding whether Vaeka lives or dies with a 50/50 dice roll.
PLEASE REMEMBER: this represents a narrative result, not the outcome of a single action or moment. No matter how the players decide to have events unfold past this point, a 1-50 dice roll will mean that Vaeka will have to end up dead one way or the other, while a 51-100 roll will result in her surviving mostly intact and escaping the city. Based on the plans we've been given and requests made down below, we will be creating a generalized prompt for what happens with her. If need be, we can also make rolls to determine which characters are in the "spotlight" for certain key moments if there is contention for that as well (IE if there is a dispute over who gets to make the killing blow or something of that caliber).
Please make any request you have for the circumstances of her ultimate escape or execution down below. The roll determining which sect is the victor will be done at 8 EST, July 13th.

VENERA
Based on what we've observed, Venera is also roughly balanced in terms of contributors. Unfortunately for the Kenoma, there are 2.5 traitors in their midst, which will damage their efforts considerably. Because of this, rolls for whether the Veneran targets live or die will be 40/60, with a 1-40 victory for the Kenoma, and a 41-100 victory for the Pleroma.
We will start out by doing a series of 10 rolls, representing 10 NPCs that are on the hit list. Based on the dice roll, each option will be designated either a Pleroma or Kenoma victory. Once the list of victories has been determined, players will be allowed to claim wins and losses from the list, at which point they can plot with other players and plan the nature of the victory and the specific qualities of the NPC themselves. Even if a victory or loss is 'claimed' by one person, there is no limit to how many characters can be involved with it in a narrative sense.
Veneran rebel NPCs will generally be characters that were either touched by the actions of the Aions or infuriated by the seeming indifference of the Regent's wider forces during the Innocence plague. While there are a few that have been cultivating anti-Regent sentiments for a long time, most of them have only recently begun engaging in seditious behavior, and any sort of 'resistance' force in Venera is new, untested, and fairly inexpert in their practices. The ones on the hit list are almost entirely the new flock of seditionists inspired by the plague, as the long terms resistance types in Venera were experienced enough to not get caught.
Beyond that, these NPCs are essentially just regular people who have decided to take a stand, one way or the other. Many may be panicked or despairing at the fact that their attempts to make a difference are being quashed already. Some of those long terms rebels may be able to help hide them if they aren't otherwise helped, but there are some player lead planning in progress to help the survivors escape the city entirely and get somewhere safe.
NOTE: We are starting out with 10 rolls, but may add more if they fill up quickly. Additionally, if you have a previously made NPC that you want to base a thread around, or that you want an individual mod roll made for, you can either let us know what outcome you'd like for them or ask for RNG here.

VENERAN REBELLION RESULTS
NOTE: Please describe the nature of the NPC you'll be saving or killing. This may become a factor in future mod plotting.

This Veneran is a headstrong, young woman who's never really Fit In with the stereotype of Venerans being cowards. Even so, at the behest of her family, she's kept quiet for the most part, but the Innocence event was the last straw and she's been vocal about her dissatisfaction of the Regent ever since, especially to her family members and coworkers.

Edited to add details on the Veneran: She is a young widow now running a print shop alone after her husband died in an accident caused by the Innocence sickness. Once the aions arrived, she happened to witness primarily Pleroma giving aid to locals, which made them sympathetic to the rebel cause. She hasn't been outwardly going out to directly campaign against the Regent's rule, since she has a baby to think of, but she has been letting more active rebels run their flyers and pamphlets through her shop.

This target is the brother of a woman Barnaby aided during the Innocence outbreak previously. He is a sculptor who has clung to Venera's more traditional art styles from before the Regent's occupation, though more out of a sense of continuing family tradition than because of any political gesture. However, after the contagion swept the city and his already frail sister was abandoned by the Achamite and Hylician guards, this soured his opinion of the Regent considerably, and he began to attend hastily-arranged dissident meetings.

This rebel is a sculptor in her 30s, and is actually the lady who let Matt crash in her workshop during the Innocence event. She's been letting other rebels use her shop/workspace to meet clandestinely, and has also been showing them how to use her kiln to make ceramic armor and knives.

EDIT: Their target is a gruff, middle-aged man who is a father figure in his community. He has worked for a long time as a carrier, acting as the intermediary for crops as they are transported from the fields outside Venera to its naval ports. Though he came under suspicion recently for offering shelter to Pleroma Aions in the recent incident with the Innocence contagion, further research into his past showed very well-hidden sedition throughout the last few years. He very carefully manipulated shipping manifests in order to divert small portions of the crop yields to the neediest people of Venera. Though this initially started more from a place of compassion than rebellion, it slowly grew into the latter over the last few years, causing the man to boldly redirect goods not only to the downtrodden of the city but also to its rebellious factors as well.
And he's getting taken down by two shitty teenagers... Miru and I both feel very bad for this new NPC that we've just created, but no good deed goes unpunished around here.
VENERAN REBEL 7
(Thanks to their incredibly lucky roll of 100 on a d100, this NPC is now special and will be handled as a mod thread. Please reply below if you have a group made of a mix of both sects of no more than 4 character total. We will do a lottery between the groups that request this character and do an NPC thread with them.)

The victim in question is a man in his late 20s who, prior to the Innocence incident, lived the sort of life where keeping to himself as much as possible was his goal. During it, he saw the Pleroma helping the citizens as much as the Regent's forces, and as time passed, he found himself unable to think of them as 'the enemy' anymore. He voiced this opinion in public numerous times, even going so far as to break out of his shell and speak on it with complete strangers, and attracted some very unfortunate attention because of it.

Our NPC is a wealthier gentleman around down who's in the Veneran farming community -- likely owns grain silos, and the land for farming. He's rather well-to-do and was content with the Regent's hand until the recent issues with the Innocence. As the Regent's hold has swayed, he's seen opportunity, and started funneling money towards the Resistance efforts in an act of defiance, as he thinks the Regent's grip is losing its iron.
ALSO HOPEFULLY (And please tell me if this isn't kosher -- or if you'd prefer us to ask this question elsewhere) we were hoping since he's a moneyed individual to hire a bodyguard or two for Silco to run awry with. We didn't plan on killing them, or have them loyal to any causes other than money, and assumed they'd high tail it after the scuffle. However, since that might be something you guys would be interested/want to make rolls/ or let us know if it isn't appropriate, please let us know!
