NEW PLAYERS
Welcome to Aion Teleos! This is our CR meme, for old and new players alike to introduce themselves and to begin plotting for the month ahead. As you're settling into the game, here are a few things you should note:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
◆ SECT ATTUNEMENT: New characters will have to declare their sect attunements on the Attunement page. Those who are starting in the Kenoma will be attuned as of the start of their introduction, but those who have been taken by the Pleroma may take up until the end of the month to do so. Alternatively, they can attune almost immediately if they are unconflicted about their desire to fight the Regent. The main restriction caused by not attuning to the Pleroma right away will be that unattuned characters cannot travel to the Greentruth rebellion stronghold.
◆ NETWORK (COMMUNION): As soon as a character is attuned to either the Pleroma or the Kenoma, they will be able to access Communion, Aion Teleos's network system. This is written about in the game's info pages, but more details can be found here. This skill can be found by accident or taught by another character.
◆ AION GLAMORS: To help ease gameplay for characters who will stick out like a sore thumb in the setting, we want to make it known that there will be a relatively weak 'glamor' type spell available to learn in Greentruth for new Pleroma. This will have to be pursued ICly, but it is out there, and will be achievable by Tier 1 attunement.

CHARACTER INTRO MINGLES
There will be no mod posted mingle log set up for new players; instead, we are encouraging veteran characters to set up mingles in the various game locations. Our reasoning for this is that, at least on the Pleroma side, there is no set mingle point that will be, by default, accessible to all characters, meaning that some IC thought and proactivity will have to go into how best to accommodate them. Additionally, this will be an opportunity for characters to ICly flex their leadership skills and receive IC reputation (and a small IC gift) for doing so. If you make a mingle log, makes sure to include it in your notable actions on your AC!
We won't leave you entirely without direction, though! Below are some ideas to get people started, and to give an idea of what the environment in each location will be. We will be happy to answer any questions and help with logistics where needed. Alongside this, new players are welcome to make their own open posts on the logs comm.

◆ ACHAMOTH: Once new arrivals have accepted the Kenoma, they will be welcomed into the Citadel along with the rest of their kindred. Most things in the "A Deity's Welcome" and "Exploration" prompts of this log will still apply (we will be converting all of this into a separate info page ASAP but we haven't had the time this month) and so it can be referenced to get an idea of accommodations. The major difference is the lack of dinner time with the Regent; according to their apparent second in command (Xishen, for those that know her), they are preoccupied at the moment, and have asked for the other Kenoma to take charge when it comes to catching up the new recruits. All of Achamoth's facilities and resources are at their disposal to do so.
Achamoth's citizens are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. They will be eager to offer places for the Kenoma Aions to meet in. Though it is now the Innocent's Moon, it largely goes unremarked on by the residents here, and if it is, only scornfully.
◆ GODSBLOOD: Once the shrines have stopped producing hatchlings, Godsblood will be the first stop for most Pleroma newcomers. By either swimming up through the ocean waters or taking a series of narrow tunnels to the surface, they will find themselves on this edge of this coastal city. It is much the same as it is in this linked post, though the Lover's Festival is now over. While most Aions are capable of blending in thanks to Horos's highly diverse biology, those that are taurs or completely non-mammalian may need some help from other Pleroma to get around without arousing suspicion. Godsblood resists the Regent's control, but it is far from completely safe. Characters may have to work together to find a place to house these new arrivals, whether that be in a safe part of the city or the nearby mountains.
There are seemingly no large festivals planned for the month of Inoseri, but in contrast with the Moon of the Innocent, there does seem to be a sense of unrest. Word of the conflicts at the shrines is spreading around, along with the realization that both Aion sects are now active. It's an ill portent for those old enough to remember the last Aion war. Regardless of the Pleroma's intent, there are those among the people here that resent the fact that their resistance may bring about another era of suffering, and will be suspicious of any new faces they see. At the same time, there are those that are enticed by this new chance to hope, and may be willing to put themselves on the line to see it flourish.
◆ GREENTRUTH: Only those that have officially attuned to the Pleroma will be able to take the portal to Greentruth, a magical passage hidden in a secure location beneath the city streets. They can be shown the way by those that know it, but discretion is of the utmost concern. Upon arriving in the heart of this rebellion stronghold, they will find the atmosphere is more lively and hopeful than it has been for decades. The resurgence of Kenoma has revitalized the Resistance and travel between Greentruth and the smaller settlements is at an all time high as materials and specialists move where needed. Aions are sought after by locals for insight and advice on larger projects as well as smaller personal notes of interest ranging from disputes between neighbors and what kind of wood would be best for this bow. Aions may not have all the answers, but will be encouraged to engage so they can better establish their presence and gain insight to the inner workings of the forest.
Inoseri is known as a time of peace and serenity, but not for the local wildlife. It's mating season for a species of forest dinosaur that is known for it's loud distinct call. This trumpeting sound can be heard for miles and will be nearly constant at the beginning of the month. This is equally frustrating for Greentruth residents as it is for other fauna. Aions will find that animals are more unruly than usual and hunting will be difficult, so any assistance provided to the Greentruth hunters will be appreciated. They will just have to hope they do not cross paths with a would be dinosaurian suitor.
There will be a mission styled event happening later in the month which will call both sects towards the city of Venera. ICly characters will not become aware of this until the plotting post goes up. Meanwhile, as the month of Inoseri begins, all Innocents will feel a strange sense of presence... almost as if there is someone standing with them, even when they are alone.Achamoth's citizens are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. They will be eager to offer places for the Kenoma Aions to meet in. Though it is now the Innocent's Moon, it largely goes unremarked on by the residents here, and if it is, only scornfully.

HAYAME | JINBA (NEW)
NAME: Rizu
CONTACT: Plurk (
FUN FACTS: I'm a tourism writer in Kyoto, Japan, so if I'm not rping I'm usually exploring a shrine/temple or annoyed at a ministry deadline. HMU if you need recs for your trip, lol.
NAME: Hayame
CANON: JINBA
LEGACY: Firebrand
SECT: Pleroma (somehow)
CHARACTER PITCH: Essentially "cruel and cold-hearted mini boss with a dark Stockholm Syndrome backstory finally starts to learn to love and hope and de-brainwash, but because her whole life is a tragic comedy of self-sabotage failures she ruins her chance for a happy ending and has to settle for honor suicide".
Hayame is introduced as an antagonist, a hunter of the escaped MCs, and then becomes a sort-of ally, archery teacher, and potential friend to them after she's captured and shown that there might be another way to live. Though she is ruled by denial and desperation, her turning point comes when, after attempting to commit a murder-suicide, the main character not only saves her life, he points out that she was relieved not to die and offers to help her discover a new way to live, without human masters or buyers. Essentially, she gets a chance at a redemption arc in canon... But just like how she failed in her mission to capture the MCs, she ends up failing to trust them and the better future they offer her, and she becomes the instrument of their downfall when actions she set in motion her first day of capture come back to to roost.
DESIRED CR: Literally anyone who will put up with her. I'm gonna be the first to admit that Hayame can be very difficult to get along with. I'll take absolutely anything, but if you'd like them to maybe possibly hit it off some shortcuts could potentially be:
↣ patient characters who won't just give up on her?
↣ characters with honor codes/warrior vibes she can grudgingly respect?
↣ characters with slavery backstories to help her finally admit what she was?
↣ someone whose debt she can get in to to help her commit to sect affiliations more?
OFFERED CR: If you crave negative CR or long-burn CR, I am here for you... Hayame can:
↣ accuse your character of being dishonorable/weak/insane/etc.
↣ physically rescue someone or be rescued bc she gets herself into something culturally confusing
↣ get into a fight with your character over wtf is happening here (comes with optional ass stomping)
↣ be a centaur and be annoyed why that's notable
↣ take everything your character says wrong and be grievously offended to the point of a lifelong grudge
PLOT HOOKS:
↣ Because Hayame is a centaur, she will immediately face trouble blending in with the locals, so she may need some help... even bothering. Left to her own devices, she will simply go to the nearest wilds and live off the land and then next thing you know there's villages talking about seeing weird nature spirits in the mountains.
↣ Her first priority beyond trying to come to terms with this entire affair is trying to procure a bow and arrows. She may have trouble finding one large enough.
↣ She is a very skilled hunter, however, so if she can get hold of a bow do you want to hunt dinosaurs... ? That makes some vague amount of sense at least.
EVENT PLANS: Will decide when event deets drop, as her actions going forward will be heavily determined by how she's introduced to other Pleroma peeps (and Kenoma peeps!), if anyone can talk her out of her lowkey suicidal ideation, if she can get weapons, if she can be talked into using portals or glamor on herself, and a variety of other variables. Oops. Please help a gal out... ?
ANYTHING ELSE? I'm actually on a mini-hiatus rn for Japan's Golden Week vacation period, but in a few days I'll be back to my usual tagging speed and getting back to everyone on the TDM! Thanks for waiting! Until then...

anyway between faction differences, gen being a horrible teenager, and him probably calling her a horse-girl at some point, i suspect that they'll be getting along great but i hope the chance comes for her to give him the ass-whooping she deserves sooner rather than later!
(that said ... if there's ever any sort of mem-share event, the attempted murder-suicide thing is something they have in direct common, so that might be something "fun" to touch on! :') )

They can at least call each other names... true camaraderie between mature adults.
... Gen, whatchu been doin', this is a bad club to be in.

Thank you, by the way, for being patient while I slowly slog through tags. This week is pretty busy because I have deadlines to make, but I am really happy to have them interacting!!!
I think Hayame and Joonghyuk will have pretty good CR and I'd love to keep developing it. They're both angry people with resting bitch face and I feel like they have pretty similar vibes! So I definitely would like to see them maybe both navigate through things together.
Joonghyuk is skilled in all kinds of combat so they can be training buddies who also squabble/fight each other constantly who also probably learn to at least respect each other's abilities.

She at least kinda trusts an angry bitch face more than she trusts a smiling one, so that's a great start!!!!!

He's just like "yeah, uh, we might need to get that made custom somehow."
He's really trying to pay it forward when it comes to being kind to wounded, unapproachable people because he's BEEN that person before... the fact that she's a prideful warrior type makes it a lot easier for him to relate to her.
no subject
Bless him for putting up with her so far and thanks a lot for helping me get an app sample!!!!! Can't believe slumscape was over a year ago...
I'd love for her to eventually come to grudgingly admit he might know what the hell he's talking about... and thankfully he used some magic "in your service" words, so she will feel a little more required to listen to him/give him the time of day.
... Why does she have to use a glamor can't she just exist or live in the woods forever?????

tbh, Hayame is super vulnerable to sect change depending on how things go forward from here so bring on the charming Kenoma peeps just as well! ... Even if she'll probably call him names first, oops... How can we throw these two together...

Thanks so much for dealing with my Golden Week slow, I'll be back on my bullshit at the end of the week!!!! Love for them to have a nice... maybe... half-decent conversation before she inevitably stomps off oops.
But Thoma seems patient enough and maybe clever enough to redirect her frustrations so... ???? Maybe they could hunt or look for weapons together and find something to bond over...

I'm not sure how well they'd end up getting along (but that's half the fun, right???) but I'm always down for all kinds of things. He could probably help her get fitted with a bow fit for her size since regardless he wouldn't want someone defenseless. May get upset if she's out here going for dinos with it later bUT. He is otherwise a very moral character stuck in his own ideas so there's that angle as well to offer!

That is indeed half the fun, and I'm here for it! Is it time for utilitarian hunter versus animal lover times? For being half-horse, Hayame sure doesn't care about not!people...............

akua is also an ex villain on a shaky redemption path who chose pleroma
she is not a horse, im afraid but
I'm not sure she can fit into any of the plot hooks but I feel as if they would have good CR!

Why did no one tell her that being "good" was going to be so gd hard when you're not in your own world, the hot dilf who convinced you to do redemption ain't here, and the people you tried to save are like... dea.... no, we do not perceive that... !!!

He is extremely outside the realm of familiarity to her, though, so this may in fact just end terribly. We could in fact go either way entirely dependent on how much one or the other is offended. He does fall into that honorable warrior category so you know he'll fight for Pleromas whether he likes them or not.

I think if we could oocly wrangle a good starting scenario we could maybe start them on the right foot but lol yeah with a Hayame WHO KNOWS… I have faith in us though! Maybe we could arrange a mingle thing?
