NEW PLAYERS
Welcome to Aion Teleos! This is our CR meme, for old and new players alike to introduce themselves and to begin plotting for the month ahead. As you're settling into the game, here are a few things you should note:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
◆ SECT ATTUNEMENT: New characters will have to declare their sect attunements on the Attunement page. Those who are starting in the Kenoma will be attuned as of the start of their introduction, but those who have been taken by the Pleroma may take up until the end of the month to do so. Alternatively, they can attune almost immediately if they are unconflicted about their desire to fight the Regent. The main restriction caused by not attuning to the Pleroma right away will be that unattuned characters cannot travel to the Greentruth rebellion stronghold.
◆ NETWORK (COMMUNION): As soon as a character is attuned to either the Pleroma or the Kenoma, they will be able to access Communion, Aion Teleos's network system. This is written about in the game's info pages, but more details can be found here. This skill can be found by accident or taught by another character.
◆ AION GLAMORS: To help ease gameplay for characters who will stick out like a sore thumb in the setting, we want to make it known that there will be a relatively weak 'glamor' type spell available to learn in Greentruth for new Pleroma. This will have to be pursued ICly, but it is out there, and will be achievable by Tier 1 attunement.

CHARACTER INTRO MINGLES
There will be no mod posted mingle log set up for new players; instead, we are encouraging veteran characters to set up mingles in the various game locations. Our reasoning for this is that, at least on the Pleroma side, there is no set mingle point that will be, by default, accessible to all characters, meaning that some IC thought and proactivity will have to go into how best to accommodate them. Additionally, this will be an opportunity for characters to ICly flex their leadership skills and receive IC reputation (and a small IC gift) for doing so. If you make a mingle log, makes sure to include it in your notable actions on your AC!
We won't leave you entirely without direction, though! Below are some ideas to get people started, and to give an idea of what the environment in each location will be. We will be happy to answer any questions and help with logistics where needed. Alongside this, new players are welcome to make their own open posts on the logs comm.

We will be happy to answer any questions and help with logistics where needed. Alongside this, new players are welcome to make their own open posts on the logs comm.
◆ ACHAMOTH: Once new arrivals have accepted the Kenoma, they will be welcomed into the Citadel along with the rest of their kindred. Most things in the "A Deity's Welcome" and "Exploration" prompts of this log will still apply (we will be converting all of this into a separate info page ASAP but we haven't had the time this month) and so it can be referenced to get an idea of accommodations. The major difference is the lack of dinner time with the Regent; according to their apparent second in command (Xishen, for those that know her), they are preoccupied at the moment, and have asked for the other Kenoma to take charge when it comes to catching up the new recruits. All of Achamoth's facilities and resources are at their disposal to do so.
Achamoth's citizens are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. They will be eager to offer places for the Kenoma Aions to meet in. Though it is now the Innocent's Moon, it largely goes unremarked on by the residents here, and if it is, only scornfully.
◆ GODSBLOOD: Once the shrines have stopped producing hatchlings, Godsblood will be the first stop for most Pleroma newcomers. By either swimming up through the ocean waters or taking a series of narrow tunnels to the surface, they will find themselves on this edge of this coastal city. It is much the same as it is in this linked post, though the Lover's Festival is now over. While most Aions are capable of blending in thanks to Horos's highly diverse biology, those that are taurs or completely non-mammalian may need some help from other Pleroma to get around without arousing suspicion. Godsblood resists the Regent's control, but it is far from completely safe. Characters may have to work together to find a place to house these new arrivals, whether that be in a safe part of the city or the nearby mountains.
There are seemingly no large festivals planned for the month of Inoseri, but in contrast with the Moon of the Innocent, there does seem to be a sense of unrest. Word of the conflicts at the shrines is spreading around, along with the realization that both Aion sects are now active. It's an ill portent for those old enough to remember the last Aion war. Regardless of the Pleroma's intent, there are those among the people here that resent the fact that their resistance may bring about another era of suffering, and will be suspicious of any new faces they see. At the same time, there are those that are enticed by this new chance to hope, and may be willing to put themselves on the line to see it flourish.
◆ GREENTRUTH: Only those that have officially attuned to the Pleroma will be able to take the portal to Greentruth, a magical passage hidden in a secure location beneath the city streets. They can be shown the way by those that know it, but discretion is of the utmost concern. Upon arriving in the heart of this rebellion stronghold, they will find the atmosphere is more lively and hopeful than it has been for decades. The resurgence of Kenoma has revitalized the Resistance and travel between Greentruth and the smaller settlements is at an all time high as materials and specialists move where needed. Aions are sought after by locals for insight and advice on larger projects as well as smaller personal notes of interest ranging from disputes between neighbors and what kind of wood would be best for this bow. Aions may not have all the answers, but will be encouraged to engage so they can better establish their presence and gain insight to the inner workings of the forest.
Inoseri is known as a time of peace and serenity, but not for the local wildlife. It's mating season for a species of forest dinosaur that is known for it's loud distinct call. This trumpeting sound can be heard for miles and will be nearly constant at the beginning of the month. This is equally frustrating for Greentruth residents as it is for other fauna. Aions will find that animals are more unruly than usual and hunting will be difficult, so any assistance provided to the Greentruth hunters will be appreciated. They will just have to hope they do not cross paths with a would be dinosaurian suitor.
There will be a mission styled event happening later in the month which will call both sects towards the city of Venera. ICly characters will not become aware of this until the plotting post goes up. Meanwhile, as the month of Inoseri begins, all Innocents will feel a strange sense of presence... almost as if there is someone standing with them, even when they are alone.Achamoth's citizens are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. They will be eager to offer places for the Kenoma Aions to meet in. Though it is now the Innocent's Moon, it largely goes unremarked on by the residents here, and if it is, only scornfully.

NAME: Ruki
CONTACT: PM, Discord
FUN FACTS: I sustain myself on cute cat videos. Here's the latest one I was looking at.
NAME: Ciel
CANON: Tsukihime (2000, remake icons are purely for visual)
LEGACY: Martyr
SECT: Kenoma
CHARACTER PITCH: Girl who would like to be kind, helpful, and just live her life out, but the world wouldn't let her thanks to winning the genetic/magical lottery, so now she's all over the place swinging from helpful do-gooder to nagging reliable big sis/not-ur-mom to cold and efficient planner to ruthless unemotional killer. At her core caring and empathetic, circumstances and events out of her control forged her into an obedient puppet who only dutifully follows orders as she's told.
DESIRED CR: I'm going to be That Person and say blanket everything I'm sorry... But as part of the initial Aion wave who accepted the Kenoma very quickly WITHOUT having much investment about the fate of the worlds, she can and will roll with everything, as will I! o7 She's relatively well-established already on top of being a flexible character, I'm always happy to make new CR and reinforcing current ones o/
Also I personally love 2IQ shenanigans. The stupider the better. This is purely an OOC thing but We Can Make It Work, that is all--
OFFERED CR:
→Friendly to Kenomas and would entertain any/all conversation! She goes well with the flow and will do her best to help newcomers adjust, does well with chilling and small talk so if you need someone with extroverted tendencies I'm happy to offer!
→??? to Pleromas whom she will act coldly towards by default on the reasoning that you shouldn't come to sympathize/care for your enemies, but she would still help them in a pinch because she Can't Help Herself. Generally pretty good at playing up the act of a villain than she really isn't, which could lead to conflicting/interesting CR?
→Nosy busybody to get into your business, she's a meddler for better or worse
→Training partner for weapons, martial arts, offensive magic, etc, she was a superpowered Church assassin back in her world so she's packing in powerlevels and combat experience because Reasons, don't think too hard about it
PLOT HOOKS: She's a busybody and has made her entire purpose as a Kenoma Aion in Achamoth as someone who'd go around doing what others ask of her/help however ways she can. I don't have anything wide-reaching planned, but always happy to brainstorm!
EVENT PLANS: There should be a Kenoma mingle planned by Lottie and Misa which Ciel will assist with, she is also an infodumper in canon and thus will definitely go around explaining everything they know and answer questions to newcomers.

anyway WELCOME BOBA im so happy we're reunited ✨✨✨ pseudo-castmates...! I'm not sure if Executors even come up in case files, I've admittedly only watched the first season of the anime, but even Ciel knows the clocktower is basically full of pompous dreary uppity asshole magi, and will feel sorry for Gray that she has to be in their general vicinity 😩 fellow anti-undead sis tho, smiting vampires and ghosts are basically neighboring professions right, they have so much to bond over already 💖
no subject
Holds your hands, pseudo-castmates!!!! Gray has indeed run into a couple Executors, one who was very gracious to her and one who was specifically out to murder her, so let's say she feels neutral about them lmao. Anti-undead and "yeah the Clocktower is messed up actually" solidarity.......

Oh good let's +1 the former, Ciel has by large abandoned TM terminology because when in Rome and etc, but it's going to be obvious once the Black Keys start getting spammed if they don't end up talking about it first. CLOCKTOWER 👏 A 👏 SHIT 👏

Either way, I'd love to thread soon/again! ;u;/ /reaches back

I think dropping the boat thread was reasonable, tbh. It seemed like a fine stopping point considering the conversation.
But since then, I think there is a lot of potential for them to chat about things! If you'd like to drop an inbox comment to report bad student things and then work as a catch-all that would be great! I don't think it's overkill, they would have a lot to discuss. (And it could be a nice way to organically integrate inviting her to CROSS-FACTION MEETZ.)

I have no idea where this may lead (a Disaster of Some Flavor Or Another, probably) but I would be VERY HAPPY to keep having them barrel into each other! They would definitely get along superficially before devolving into whatever messes that make them whole :) Let's superconduct baybee it's pure coincidence that she's versed in lightning magic and all the electro vision holders in Genshin are waman + a dog, definitely--

it's okay, disasters are what i'm here for. isn't that what kenoma is all about?? idk. but either way definitely do want more of ciel since she's so interesting to me. i feel like they would start out rly shallow before we can get to any of the good stuff, but it's fine. slowburns are a fave. 👀 wait she can do lightning magic??? FUN STUFF

pfff perceived with my orphan NPCing, please don't look at me all I got is a boy named Charles who owns a giant pet spider (Horace, he has a name and it's Horace) no other NPC adult at the Citadel approves of, especially as he's a haughty little handful himself... But he Gets Along with an Aion who's willing to spend time with him, so now he follows her around sometimes and helps her run errands! We could definitely make up things in that direction in the future, she checks in with the orphans in general in part due to her church background. Alternatively you could join me in making a child NPC who follows Amos around too, the mods said "you may make up one NPC retainer" and that's what I chose to spend mine on, coughs into fist

LISTEN just on a drive-by or two... it's very brilliant and I would have never thought of that for a retainer NPC so I admire your creativity... I haven't committed to anything NPC-wise just yet but. I will find a way to join you in all of this whenever opportunity arises in a new thread because it really is perfect/considering what they first talked about... the synergy... it's good
