ARI WHERE IS YOUR TOPLEVEL ...

Anyway you might not have posted a toplevel but you can't stop me from telling you how much I love your Amos!!! I admittedly know absolutely nothing about The Expanse (and got knows my to-watch list is an absolute behemoth at this point), but I just absolutely adore the depth and care that you put into writing Amos. Just from the various tidbits of information you've given about him, I can tell that he's the type of character that's so easy to get wrong -- to turn into a soft woobie or the kicked-puppy "he's not bad he's just damaged 🥺 my innocent meowmeow" type. So I really respect how much thought you put into all aspects of Amos' personality, both the good, the bad, and the incredibly ugly. It paints Amos as an beautifully three-dimensional and well-fleshed out character, and I absolutely adore how it gives all of his CR an exciting edge because there's always that lurking sense that things can go very right or very wrong, but perhaps not for the expected reasons.

Receiving tags from you is also always an absolute delight! I love how well you write what's going through Amos' head, his interiority and his thought processes -- there's a very distinct rhythm to the way you verbalize everything that gives it a stark quality that feels soooo apt for his personality! And that's not getting into what a fun character he is to play off of, given how direct and proactive he is, with a great balance of hard and soft moments (because they are soft moments, even if Amos can't quite acknowledge them as such).

I'm so chuffed to have gotten to know you through this game, and I'm soooooo thrilled by how our CR has developed thus far! I'm really excited to see where they can go henceforth, even if it will hurt my heart so much, but the pain will be a good pain (I say, through tears). I'm forever so grateful that you reached out to me during that first CR meme because I had no idea this CR would end up so intense, and I now hold it so close to my heart. Not to mention what a wonderfully easy and encouraging person you are to talk to, and your wit is always on point! Thanks so much for threading with me, and I'm excited to keep pestering you, hehe!

But oh gosh thank you so much; he really is a character that's so easy to get wrong so the fact that you've picked up this much about him just via me must mean I'm doing something right... (Also listen, absolutely heard about being bad about getting to the "new fandom content to consume" list but you are not alone there regarding new interest in a fellow player's canon...)

Weh though you're too kind to me... I'm just gonna chalk this up to us vibing extremely well because there's always this beautiful depth to your tags and the way a thread with Gen can turn on a dime (seriously, you've made me laugh more times than I can count with a sudden snide turn that ended up being so much more emotional later in the thread, you're SO GOOD at balancing those moods) but we both managed to navigate things to a place where we hit on meaningful CR and it felt so rewarding to get there!! Soft moments and all...
