I won't pretend I understand anything abut Baroque. But Dextera is a funny little feral guy and I love seeing whatever weird shenanigans he gets up to around the game. Sometimes participating in them. I can't believe Yuya made bombs so he could babysit. It was great. And you're a treat in chat!

MARY I can't thank you enough for that surprise Godsblood tag a few months back now, I could not have imagined our long-awaited CR would end up going the way it has and I would not change a thing! I love it so much!! It's one of my favourite things here and I'm always so excited for more, especially as things start to ramp up and Dextera gets more people (wrongfully rightfully!) on his side!!

Also every time I learn things about Baroque against my will it's a treat, and you have the best dice bot utilization game in the server. Every single roll is a delight and a terror, please never stop!

MARY! You are a true agent of chaos and sometimes I am in fear of your power. But truthfully you are just a delightful person to know. And so is Dex in all his weirdness?? The fact that you play a character who can't speak in most instances but are still able to get across his feelings through exposition and mannerisms alone is a FEAT and you should be proud of it.

And really, he's so cute and odd and tragic and I only want the best for him though I feel like he won't allow it... I hope that Himeka can provide some non-toxic friendship for him. And I really do want them to be terrible trashpanda foodie buddies. Who knows, maybe he'll catch dinner for them sometime?

i was genuinely shocked when you said (in chat or on plurk??? somewhere) that you're usually shy and hesitant to reach out. you always seem so vivacious and full of life, i truly assumed you were the type of person people gravitated to at parties and who light up the whole room. which you do in chat, but in a distinctly cursed way (affectionate). you're always so easy to talk to and so easy to joke around and shitpost with, i truly feel absolutely at ease whenever you're around. your love of baroque is very pure (?) and you manage to share your love in the most natural of ways -- it never feels like you're forcing information down our throats or clogging up channels whenever the topic of baroque comes up. every day i learn new cursed baroque lore and i thank you for it, i truly feel like it brightens my day.

seeing dex around also brightens my day....i never would have guessed that he nuked an entire world just to bring his brother back. i appreciate how you manage to convey his sad kicked puppy vibes without overdoing it, i always want to pick him up and give him a hug (but don't for fear of catching fleas). your writing is a joy to read as well, you manage to convey a lot of emotion and nuance in your tags while still keeping them concise, that's a skill i'm deeply jealous of. i'm also impressed with how well you balance his absolutely chaotic gremlin side with his more serious side. i'm glad he seems to have found his footing and a reason to fight in aion, and i'm looking forward to seeing how he develops in the future! dubious mushrooms and floor meat and all....

I know it's a bit awkward to say, but I've had tangential knowledge of you as a friend of a friend that I had followed on Twitter for a little while prior to RPing with you here (I think I followed after the "how dare you say okaeri to me in my own home, bitch" Tweet wrt Persona 5... I was deeply tickled). I am SO happy that I got the opportunity to not only write with you but also become closer friends with you OOC! I feel like we are similarly deranged in a way where I don't really feel awkward or nervous about saying something ridiculous or depraved to you since I think you've cursed me just as much on the return HAHA. God bless you for accepting both me and my blorbo at our best and our worst...

As for Dextera... Even if I actually get around to playing Baroque, I don't think I will ever understand it, but I almost prefer that lack of context. I will say that your intense knowledge, passion, and love for this crazy canon and this wacky little guy are absolutely infectious. I'm obsessed about Dextera now to where I'm prepared to cross-canon adopt him as my meowmeow... Though maybe that's just me kinning a little too much. 🤔 Your writing is beautiful and elegant, and I always feel like I manage to find something to be surprised or delighted by in each tag I receive from you. As a slightly more specific compliment, I'm especially awed at how well you handle Dextera communicating even being mute most of the time! The way you describe his demeanor and his body language feels so incredible and real to the character, and you can have him 'say' so much with so little that it really doesn't even seem all that necessary to use things like Communion or writing all that often. I just think that's really impressive and wanted to give it a special shout-out.

I cherish Dextera like no other and I am always impressed at how consistently you write him. His character voice (so to speak) is so strong!! mary i had so much fun threading with you in awash and i can't believe i get to do it AGAIN?!? but less suavely this time (miss you lupin.) you're always so much fun to be around and that extends to your tags, too -- dex is charming and weird in all the right ways, and you always provide plenty of hooks to respond to in your writing, even if he can't actually speak aloud!! i feel like i haven't gotten to tag him as much as i want actually WE SHOULD HAVE ANOTHER THREAD IN SEPTEMBER but i've really enjoyed the bits we have had with johnny and dextera and i actually think they could be friends!! they can bond over brother trauma or something...

MARY now that I think about it we've known each other for quite a while, huh ... I do seriously, unironically love that Dextera is just Your Blorbo and I've gotten to enjoy so many different dynamics with him with different characters, hehe.

That said, I actually hadn't intended at first for Dextera to become such a Reiji-proxy for Gen, but things really just spun out that way and now the dramatic potential of it makes my crusty little kokoro squeeze tight!!! Also I'm sure I've said this before, but I love how you write Dextera in general -- he's just such a fun character to watch! He's a weird nasty little gremlin, but he also has so many feelings that he can't contain, he walks that line between moe-through-helplessness and actually being kind of a threat so beautifully. I adore rubbernecking at Dex's threads because I can never really predict how his CR will spin out. Thank you so much for indulging me in this messy-ass CR between our lads, and I'm really looking forward to getting to thread with you more and make things even more messy! :^)

I remember seeing him on the first TDM and I was just excited to see another Lover buddy, but the way you've blended his home experience into bolstering the resistance and his growing confidence in them/the Pleroma is great to see. He seems like a really subtle character but you make that compelling so someone wants to dig up more.

No but I have to thank you so much for being so much fun to write and plot with, ranging all the way from uncomfortable touching (PDA) to uncomfortable touching (slashing throats) (also thank you for indulging me in that) (seriously I can't believe that was actually my first ever DM to you, I guess that speaks to how friendly and inviting a presence you have that I thought "sure, I can open with that, that's not weird at all" and you went with it). I LOVE engaging in Amos and Ernesto analysis with you since they really do stand out from the other Lovers in the game but they're SO alike except for that ONE KEY DIFFERENCE here... some way, some day, some how we are going to write something unequivocally positive with them! even though we haven't known each other for that long (a year, year and a half??) it really speaks volumes to how chill of a person you are that i immediately felt at ease talking to you. you're always happy to go with the flow in chat and in plurk, and you always have something funny to contribute that you manage to slide in effortlessly. it's always a joy to talk to you and i'm glad we do get to talk as often as we do! you're also incredibly supportive; i feel like every time i go on plurk, you've replied to every mutual we share with either words of support or with some sort of witty repartee. i know a lot of us desire attention but hate asking for it so i think it's really kind of you to make sure that everyone feels seen and welcomed. you genuinely care for your friends and the people around you, and that shows in both your actions and in your words, and i hope that you know that if you're ever struggling we will all be here to return that support a hundredfold.

i know you frequently say you're not that great of a writer but i've always enjoyed my threads and tags from you! you do a great job of exploring ernesto's inner thoughts while also making sure to touch on his outward expressions so that the other player has something to work off of. i never struggle replying to tags from you, and i also know i can shitpost at you and you'll take it all in stride, which is the greatest gift anyone can give me. you're also so incredibly willing to reach out and plot with other people, whether you have previous cr with them or not. ernesto the spice dog is such a figure within the pleroma now and it's 100% well-deserved after all the work you've put in. i am super excited to see where you take him as aion chugs along, because you always have great ideas and well-thought-out arcs for your characters. speaking of well-thought-out arcs -- i never made it far enough in haikyuu to see atsumu in all his shitty glory but i'm so glad that you're willing to take this nice normal teen and make him Worse. ready to get spiked in the face by a (volley)ball of dark kenoma energy.

I gotta be real, my very first thought upon first seeing you on the TDM didn't extend any further beyond "oh shit someone plays Tequila Arknights o:" but boy howdy am I glad I got the chance to start threading with you! (sorry I got up to here and then Mlynar Arknights happened and it took me like 40 minutes to crawl back to coherency, just so you know.)

I think one of the things I admire most about the way you play Ernesto is how you balance out all his different aspects! He's definitely the type of character that's easy to just dismiss as "PUBBY," but I really love how you've stuck your guns that he's basically a war criminal with a very complicated thought process who KNOWS he's cute-looking and isn't above weaponizing it from time to time. It makes the gap between his design and his personality so intriguing, and I love seeing how his CR play out! It's so fun to see how Ernesto is definitely capable of being a sweet, goofy, nice guy when permitted, but he's just as willing to slit throats when necessary; the breadth of his different CR is so great to rubberneck at, as is all the different plot threads he's getting embroiled in. And you know I'm always hype to see his collection of Problematic People to Look After slowly expand, ufufu.

Atsumu is, of course, going to be a little harder for me to get CR with for a little while, but I suppose we can slowly rectify that given time ... ! He's such a cutie though, and I'm so chuffed that you're ready to make him Much Worse.

Also also, I'm so glad I've gotten to befriend you through this game! You're wonderfully chill and easy to talk to, and I love that we can just vibe about so many things! It feels like you always have something nice and encouraging to say, and getting to just shoot the shit with you is always a delight. leigh!! first off let me say i've had so much fun in our threads together!! i was immediately endeared to ernesto as soon as he let misa throw rocks at him and just let the incident roll off of him like water off a duck's back, and across our threads i've just become more and more interested in him. i've enjoyed getting to read your meta about ernesto's inner feelings and his morality; i feel he has a very unique standpoint among pleroma characters i've tagged, which makes it very engaging to tag him! our cr has gone negative for the time being, but that shan't stop me from continuing to tag you somehow, points eyes points to you

additionally, i've enjoyed atsumu too even though i've only had one (1) thread with him... im laughably canonblind to haikyuu but i appreciated your commitment to him being stressed out and angery in that situation, sometimes i get shy about going All In on a character flipping out on someone or something like that so i like to see that oin action when other players do it hehe
