NEW PLAYERS
Welcome to Aion Teleos! This is our CR meme, for old and new players alike to introduce themselves and to begin plotting for the month ahead. As you're settling into the game, here are a few things you should note:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
◆ SECT ATTUNEMENT: New characters will have to declare their sect attunements on the Attunement page. Those who are starting in the Kenoma will be attuned as of the start of their introduction, but those who have been taken by the Pleroma may take up until the end of the month to do so. Alternatively, they can attune almost immediately if they are unconflicted about their desire to fight the Regent. The main restriction caused by not attuning to the Pleroma right away will be that unattuned characters cannot travel to the Greentruth rebellion stronghold.
◆ NETWORK (COMMUNION): As soon as a character is attuned to either the Pleroma or the Kenoma, they will be able to access Communion, Aion Teleos's network system. This is written about in the game's info pages, but more details can be found here. This skill can be found by accident or taught by another character.
◆ RETAINERS (KENOMA ONLY): All Kenoma are offered the opportunity to take on an NPC retainer after arriving at the Citadel. This retainer will be an NPC created and played by you. They will be available day and night to attend to your character's needs. These servants understand the Regent largely from a religious perspective and will not have any outspoken anti-Regent sentiments, though they may or may not be nervous about their new master. Generally speaking, though, this is in a new job jitters sort of way, as working in the Citadel is considered to be a job of great cultural and religious significance. They want to do a good job! You are free to develop your retainer's personality and relationship with your character. If your character (or you) are not interested in having a personal retainer, they will instead be served by a rotation of unattached servants.
◆ ALLOWANCES (KENOMA ONLY): They will be given an emerald's worth in jools per month, which is 1000 units. This is about how much a minimum wage worker makes in two months. They will continue receiving spending money on a monthly basis, though the Citadel itself will take care of all of their needs. On an OOC level its safe to say that average city expenditures will be covered by the money they are given, though they are welcome to invest that money in making more money if they have to skills to do so.

CHARACTER INTRO MINGLES
There will be no mod posted mingle log set up for new players; instead, we are encouraging veteran characters to set up mingles in the various game locations. Our reasoning for this is that, at least on the Pleroma side, there is no set mingle point that will be, by default, accessible to all characters, meaning that some IC thought and proactivity will have to go into how best to accommodate them. Additionally, this will be an opportunity for characters to ICly flex their leadership skills and receive IC reputation for doing so.
We won't leave you entirely without direction, though! Below are some ideas to get people started, and to give an idea of what the environment in each location will be. We will be happy to answer any questions and help with logistics where needed. Alongside this, new players are welcome to make their own open posts on the logs comm.

◆ ACHAMOTH: Once new arrivals have accepted the Kenoma, they will be welcomed into the Citadel along with the rest of their kindred. The Citadel's inhabitants are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. After being assigned their rooms and retainers, new arrivals will be able to explore the city, and will find that they are eagerly greeted by the common folk of Achamoth as well. If they travel openly as Aions, they may be offered small favors or gifts as a show of good will.
One might think the mood would be a bit lower after some recent military casualties and the Kenoma's defeat in Godsblood, but it is not so! Instead, Achamoth is abuzz with the news of a pair of Pleroma captives that are currently facing judgement in the Citadel. Whether or not the Kenoma lost a prisoner in Godsblood, the citizenry are well trained when it comes to spinning a story, and are happily regaling each other with rumors of the Pleroma's spectacular defeats at the hand of their Kenoma captors.
◆ GODSBLOOD: Once the shrines have stopped producing hatchlings, Godsblood will be the first stop for most Pleroma newcomers. By either swimming up through the ocean waters or taking a series of narrow tunnels to the surface, they will find themselves on this edge of this coastal city. While most Aions are capable of blending in thanks to Horos's highly diverse biology, those that are taurs or completely non-mammalian may need some help from other Pleroma to get around without arousing suspicion. Godsblood resists the Regent's control, but it is far from completely safe. Characters may have to work together to find a place to house these new arrivals, whether that be in a safe part of the city or the nearby mountains.
While in the past Godsblood has been skeptical of Aions in general, a recent Pleroma victory within the city has resulted in an air of cautious optimism. While, on average, citizens don't particularly want to earn the Regent's ire, they will be more likely to look the other way if they see any recognizable Pleroma activity. Additionally, there has been a surge of young Bloodites snooping around, looking to join in on potential resistance activities.
Fitting, then, is that it's the moon of the Firebrand's Rise, a summer festival dedicated to celebrating youthful rebellion. In times before its occupation, this festival was also meant to remember various historical riots and political activists, defying tradition in the name of bold new ideals. While the second part is no longer expressed publicly for fear of reprisal, it is still looked to as a time to appreciate the new perspectives of the young. As a city based very much in family tradition, it is easy to become hidebound, and the Firebrand's Rise serves to remind Bloodites that the old is not necessarily the good.
It also results in a lot of teenagers running amuck, taking advantage of the unusual leniency their parents are gifting them. Perhaps it is not so surprising that there are also instances of masked youths publicly decrying the Regent's rule before fleeing into the darkness. Older generations are afraid that things might be getting out of hand, this year.
◆ GREENTRUTH: Only those that have officially attuned to the Pleroma will be able to take the portal to Greentruth, a magical passage hidden in a secure location beneath the city streets. They can be shown the way by those that know it, but discretion is of the utmost concern. Upon arriving in Greentruth, arrivals will find the forest city bustling. Cut off as they are from the rest of Horos, the rescue of Veneran citizens and the Bloodite rebel Vaeka are the talk of Greentruth thanks to their newfound allies in the Pleroma Aions. Vaeka has safely made it to the main settlement and will be in the care of other Resistance members until she sees fit to return to Godsblood.
The month of Firaseri is typically a time of mobilization. Hunting parties go out on great expeditions with faces and hands painted with the sigil of the Firebrand. It is said to bring good luck with the hunt and the kills that they bring back usually last for the months to come. Bones and leather made from these animals is particularly valuable and saved to make armor and charms to be worn to war.
The First Kill is met with much celebration. A largescale feast is held in its honor all across the forest, bringing communities together around a central fire. Stories of battles fought in ancient times are told with varying levels of fancy, but the favorites tend to be about the night that the "dragon's fire turned the moon into a second sun", keeping the Regent's forces at bay. It is common this time of year to keep candles lit in every home throughout the end of the month. "A single flame can spark an inferno."
There will also be an event this month concerning the rescue of the two captured Pleroma mentioned above, in the form of a Pleroma raid against Achamoth. It will be the culmination of a plot that has been going on for a few months which we will be trying to explain in the upcoming event plotting post. In the meantime, we hope that new arrivals can be brought up to speed by their kindred! One might think the mood would be a bit lower after some recent military casualties and the Kenoma's defeat in Godsblood, but it is not so! dextera • pleroma (lover)
NAME: mary!
CONTACT: PM, the game discord, or my personal preference,
FUN FACTS: i have the cutest cat in the world. this was officially certified by me.
NAME: koriel xii, more commonly known in this game as “dextera”!
CANON: baroque
LEGACY: lover
SECT: pleroma! t2. he’s in it to win it.
CHARACTER PITCH: sad amnesiac who destroyed the world makes several mistakes on the way to getting his brother back.
DESIRED CR: obligatory “all” answer, but as the pleroma start to buff their numbers, i’d like him to make friends with more pleroma. additionally, as he ascends the attunement ranks, i’m interested in him gaining some more negative (or at least complicated) CR across party lines—he’s got a few people on the kenoma side, but for the most part, his ire is directed at the regent themselves. i’d love if he could get a little more spicy with kenoma!
OFFERED CR: well, he’s fucking sad and pathetic and stinky. if you’d like your character to meet someone who is sad and pathetic and stinky, dextera is your guy. on a more serious note, though, dextera is able to offer sort of a unique perspective on life (to normies) due to coming from the post-apocalypse, and underneath all the silent oddities, he’s also got major brother/cult trauma if anyone wants to bond over that.
PLOT HOOKS: dextera is a li’l information gatherer, but due to being mute, he needs someone to help interpret if he’s speaking to anyone. that is not a very good hook, however, so another long-term goal is that dextera has the ability to make swords out of people’s souls so if you’d like your character to get a weapon modeled after them (willingly or unwillingly)… hi.
EVENT PLANS: he’s going to help in the raid! probably! dextera’s strengths have thus far been more towards gearing people, so he’s made a lot of traps and tricks that explode and make people sweat and
give them the runsother unpleasant effects, so if your character isn’t a fighter by nature but wants to help, come find him!ANYTHING ELSE?

hsy is drawn to the sad and stinky... she's a feral goblin but she has a soft spot for people she assigns as dokja-adjacent, also i heard that dextera and dokja are going camping so she clearly needs to become dextera's friend so they can shittalk dokja 2gether :)
also i think it'd be fun if hsy helped interpret for dextera... let them information gather together

dextera will NEVER shittalk dokja because he’s LOYAL, but he will still befriend someone who does because he understands why people do shittalk him. she’s welcome to translate anything he says into comments about dokja
