EVENT #5: SOVEREIGN CITIZENS
Sovereign Citizens
All across Horos, even in lands that have long since forsaken the Legacies, Soviseri is a month of political action. Most years, this simply means annual elections; for the faithful, organizations and governments big and small take this opportunity to bask in the wisdom of the Sovereign while reassessing their leadership and strategies, while the more secular simply see it as a convenient waymark on the yearly calendar. Soviseri allows them to face the remainder of the cycle with fresh eyes.
Most years, these customs will pass uneventfully, barring the moderate confusion that can result when too many leaderships change at once. This year, however, is not like others: for the one that considers themself the most sovereign of sovereigns has witnessed the seeds of revolt take root in the most fertile soil. Though they have not yet begun to sprout, let alone flourish, the Regent knows full well where such small things can lead. It's because of this that they intend to salt the earth and remind the cities of Horos the value of the 'peace' they've experienced while allowing them their reign.
This event will last from the 13th to the 25th of Soviseri.

◆ THE REGENT'S ADDRESS: On the eve of the 13th, near the height of the Sovereign's Moon, all Aions will have their spirits summoned into a metaphysical court of the Regent's making. They'll only have enough time to seat themselves somewhere before the vision overtakes them, bringing them into the Regent's presence for what will be the first time for many. It is in this meeting of souls that the Regent will express their intent to punish the Pleroma's supporters in Godsblood and Venera, and to declare that it will be at the hands of their Kenoma followers. The Pleroma will be able to leave the communion unharmed, but the message is clear: without intervention, Godsblood and Venera will suffer.
◆ AN EXECUTION (GODSBLOOD): The 15th would normally be a day of public debates and speeches, a time for those in power to prove their worth in full sight of the Sovereign, but all of that will be thrown into discord at the public announcement that Vaeka Lovenskol is to face public execution for her crimes against the Regent. What crimes? Well, apparently she has been working as part of a resistant unit intent on aiding the Pleroma menace... a fact that any Pleroma in Greentruth will know to be true. Vaeka has been one of the brave souls working to keep the entry to Greentruth concealed, guiding what new Pleroma they become aware of to its gates.
How she was exposed is not exactly clear, but she is scheduled for a public execution in Godsblood's main square on the 20th. That means there are five days to snatch her from the Kenoma sent to guard her, lest she be made an example to her people.
◆ TRIMMING THE VINE (VENERA): While the execution in Godsblood is a public affair, what happens Venera is far more insidious. Despite the meek and escapist nature of its citizens, a spark has been lit beneath the surface, spurred by the Aion's actions within the city during the Innocence's contagion, as well as the Achamite's and Hylician's inaction. Some Venerans that were either spotted supporting the Pleroma or that seek to resist the Regent's will have been rooted out, and will be made to pay for their transgressions by the Kenoma first and foremost.
From the 15th to the 25th, the Kenoma will be ordered to work their way through a hit list of sorts, finding and imprisoning Veneran troublemakers, with the intent of essentially 'disappearing' them. Prisoners will be held for a day or so after capture for a meaningless trial by the Achamites present, and then be executed.
◆ MARCHING ORDERS (KENOMA): As the Regent has observed there is a finite limit to what the Kenoma will do without orders, they are now being explicit; all Kenoma are required to participate in the subjugation of either Godsblood or Venera during these activities. Whether or not Kenoma players are available to play out things on an OOC level, all must be at least handwaved to ICly participate in this mission by signing up for duty in either Venera or Godsblood down below. Failure to perform IC will be met with IC punishment.
In addition to their mission duties, the Regent is also ordering all their Kenoma to attempt to lure out and capture as many Pleroma as possible. How they go about this is up to each individual, but the Regent expects that most Pleroma will not be able to resist making an appearance at either location.

misa amane | kenoma | lover
Ideally, she'll be the lookout of the guarding party; she has supernaturally enhanced vision and can petrify people from a good distance away - an effect that grows worse the closer others get to her. It will not be immediately obvious the power comes from her, either, as the ability is tied to her sight. While she will still be a surface-level degree of nice to Pleromas who get close to her (and other Kenoma, who she will also be protective of), she won't be hesitating to immediately use her powers on any Pleroma she spots, which will be slightly easier than usual due to her True Sight from T2 Kenoma status.
That said, Pleromas who want a limb or two (or more??) to be turned to stone, hmu. These stone limbs can also be knocked off by outside parties (one of her stronger Kenoma besties perhaps??), so if you're looking to do a Aion-regrowing-a-limb fashion statement, Misa can help 👀 I'm open to PVPs, whether they be 1v1 or 2v1/2v2/what have you. She's more likely to want to team up with a Kenoma as their #SupportCharacter, but I'm down for her to be caught unawares or split off from the main party. She's a novice with a bow, and hides an ornate knife on her person for surprise stabbings. Injuries, I'm fine with going quite far here! Though I'm not looking for her to be dissipated just yet. If you'd like to get in a serious fight (she's probably the easiest to target of the Godsblood Kenoma lbr 🧍♂️), I think it'd be fun to plan out a Kenoma having to drag her away at the last second and for her to keep powering thru if there's any interest 👉👈
I'd also be open to some non-straight to fighting threads: I'd welcome Pleromas trying to convince her to stop and finding out just how much she is like 👍 at killing rebels to make a statement. As is typical, Misa will not shy away from explaining her allegiance to the Regent, if Pleroma are still around who are want to hear a reason for Why some of them are doing this.
Kenomas, let's team up! Misa's main objective here will be to give her fellow Kenoma an advantage, and warn them of any oncoming threats. If you want to have Misa tag along in any of your PVPs or capture attempts, please let me know!! I can also have her swoop in to save a fellow Kenoma from dissipation, even if it's just by creating a diversion or distraction LMAO... She will also be trying to keep morale up, and will act her usual cheerful ditzy self whenever they all have downtime. one idea I've had bouncing around in my mind for use of Misa's powers is petrifying an ally's arm/leg that's been grievously injured to stop the bleeding so she can also be a makeshift.... wound-stopper... in a pinch for the kenohomies
i'm sure more ideas will come into my head but!!! i'm excited and will do pretty much everything i'm holding my arms open extra wide

otherwise, we can find some other lull in the situation for her to be talking with him!! will ernesto be helping directly with the hypothetical storming of the castle, or will he more on the outside...
no subject
And because of that he's going to be helping more from the outside too. He's pretty capable of fighting, but he's hoping to thread the needle and play the long game by not completely giving himself away so quickly.

looking forward to them learning a bit more about each others' real selves..... 👀

and i would totally be down to throw these two together! if thoma comes near wherever the prisoner is, she'll deffo start petrifying him, and we can go from there.. despite doing this to him she will luckily(?) be quite friendly and casual so it should be interesting 😚

A gothic tea party next to the guillotine, please. Also willing to tag along with the illustrious Misa. Surely will earn Regent points.

NO IM KIDDING i would love for these two to team up!! i imagine she'll mostly be acting as a scout and trying to stay near the NPC; i saw you saying emet will be trying to talk to the NPC so misa might also be physically near the epicenter of all of that, given that she'll be trying to stay in the center of their little formation. maybe they can dish about the npc herself or why they're cool with killing her or something?? 🤔 or if the opportunity arises if the execution actually happens, they really should just chill and sip their tea while it happens, i would love that...
no subject
But yeah if they could have a little info gathering session with the NPC that might be fun. I asked the mods about having a conversation with her so we'll see what happens there.
If she chilled and sipped tea all the while the execution happened he'd be so impressed tbh. She would actually gain affection points with that one khsdfklhsd
no subject
ya that would be fun!! just keep me posted on what the mods say, tho ofc no worries if it doesn't work out or if emet will go there alone 👀 in general i imagine whenever she's inside she'll want to stay close to him anyway since she knows he's ~magic~ and thus probably safer to be around than being on her own.
and tbh she really would IM 😭 i don't think she would be bothered at all.... is this it, is this the way she'll worm her way into emet's heart. drinking tea while someone dies

Signs Amos the fuck up for potential PVP team-ups, especially since they were talking about it so early on and did end up manifesting powers that complement the other very well — especially if one of them ends up having to rescue the other... just strengthen that bond. If opportunity arises for it I would also be down for cauterizing an Amos wound with petrification powers... especially considering what things were like the last time he was kinda petrifying, but also how he's made it clear to Misa that he's all for doing whatever it takes regardless.
(actually lmfao eta, between rand and ernesto amos might be getting into some swordfights here so he deadass might need someone to stop the bleeding...)
soooo many possibilities but these two absolutely must do something together. rip to anyone else who realizes "oh god there are two of them"
no subject
BUT AHH she can definitely come to his rescue and cauterize his wound/try to ward them off, at least until he can see one of the real team healers, i love this?? also gives her a chance to have a vendetta against rand and ernesto, because she'd be pretty upset if he gets really hurt. the drama of when she has to remove the petrification and the wounds start bleeding and hurting again... 😔
IN ANY CASE, i'm super down for this, i don't have any concrete plans yet re: misa getting fucked up by any pvps but if it happens just know she will probably call for him for help 🥺
no subject
OKAY SO right now we kinda have it shaping up like... Amos is gonna capture Rand, so Ernesto and potentially Akua are gonna rescue him eventually, which could set up for a nice little 3v2 if everyone's agreeable with that (I'm hitting up people on this post if you wanted to check in on potential statuses there)... I did just pitch to Leigh that Ernesto could slash up one of Amos' arteries or something so Misa could definitely come in as support then. also jams oh my god, misa petrifying the wound so amos can keep fighting and then having to remove it in the aftermath is SO GOOD, your mind. yes. please,
(he also might end up getting cut up by syrlya at some point too... lmfao please help him this is why he wants a gun. all these people with their swords)
And ohhhh my gosh yes definitely let me know if Misa gets fucked up because if Amos is available he will come charging in like a bear to save her. That might be the first time he gets to go a little feral in-game...

and they can talk about............... death and executions to keep it thematic maybe

i saw in your plotting comment that you're looking for people to encourage gray about the kenoma and misa can do that too as well while they hang out!! i think she would sense if gray seemed outwardly nervous or conflicted...... and misa will be like, just think of it this way, this one person will die so less people will be inspired to piss off the regent probably (citation needed)

also i would like to humbly request a misa petrification and/or stabbing, plsthnx
no subject
i will try to manifest her stabbing rand and/or petrifying him at some point during that convo OR more likely during his escape..... ty for the great gift of bullying this man
no subject
I ACTUALLY HAD.....A THOUGHT.......about bullying, closes eyes. stabbing makes a lot of sense during escape especially, i agree! but i was actually thinking, like, surely they need a way to keep him from just calling the plerohomies in plerojail via communion, right? what if some lil hand...petrification....
me rolling up like hey jams wanna inflict some sufferin'
