EVENT #5: SOVEREIGN CITIZENS
Sovereign Citizens
All across Horos, even in lands that have long since forsaken the Legacies, Soviseri is a month of political action. Most years, this simply means annual elections; for the faithful, organizations and governments big and small take this opportunity to bask in the wisdom of the Sovereign while reassessing their leadership and strategies, while the more secular simply see it as a convenient waymark on the yearly calendar. Soviseri allows them to face the remainder of the cycle with fresh eyes.
Most years, these customs will pass uneventfully, barring the moderate confusion that can result when too many leaderships change at once. This year, however, is not like others: for the one that considers themself the most sovereign of sovereigns has witnessed the seeds of revolt take root in the most fertile soil. Though they have not yet begun to sprout, let alone flourish, the Regent knows full well where such small things can lead. It's because of this that they intend to salt the earth and remind the cities of Horos the value of the 'peace' they've experienced while allowing them their reign.
This event will last from the 13th to the 25th of Soviseri.

◆ THE REGENT'S ADDRESS: On the eve of the 13th, near the height of the Sovereign's Moon, all Aions will have their spirits summoned into a metaphysical court of the Regent's making. They'll only have enough time to seat themselves somewhere before the vision overtakes them, bringing them into the Regent's presence for what will be the first time for many. It is in this meeting of souls that the Regent will express their intent to punish the Pleroma's supporters in Godsblood and Venera, and to declare that it will be at the hands of their Kenoma followers. The Pleroma will be able to leave the communion unharmed, but the message is clear: without intervention, Godsblood and Venera will suffer.
◆ AN EXECUTION (GODSBLOOD): The 15th would normally be a day of public debates and speeches, a time for those in power to prove their worth in full sight of the Sovereign, but all of that will be thrown into discord at the public announcement that Vaeka Lovenskol is to face public execution for her crimes against the Regent. What crimes? Well, apparently she has been working as part of a resistant unit intent on aiding the Pleroma menace... a fact that any Pleroma in Greentruth will know to be true. Vaeka has been one of the brave souls working to keep the entry to Greentruth concealed, guiding what new Pleroma they become aware of to its gates.
How she was exposed is not exactly clear, but she is scheduled for a public execution in Godsblood's main square on the 20th. That means there are five days to snatch her from the Kenoma sent to guard her, lest she be made an example to her people.
◆ TRIMMING THE VINE (VENERA): While the execution in Godsblood is a public affair, what happens Venera is far more insidious. Despite the meek and escapist nature of its citizens, a spark has been lit beneath the surface, spurred by the Aion's actions within the city during the Innocence's contagion, as well as the Achamite's and Hylician's inaction. Some Venerans that were either spotted supporting the Pleroma or that seek to resist the Regent's will have been rooted out, and will be made to pay for their transgressions by the Kenoma first and foremost.
From the 15th to the 25th, the Kenoma will be ordered to work their way through a hit list of sorts, finding and imprisoning Veneran troublemakers, with the intent of essentially 'disappearing' them. Prisoners will be held for a day or so after capture for a meaningless trial by the Achamites present, and then be executed.
◆ MARCHING ORDERS (KENOMA): As the Regent has observed there is a finite limit to what the Kenoma will do without orders, they are now being explicit; all Kenoma are required to participate in the subjugation of either Godsblood or Venera during these activities. Whether or not Kenoma players are available to play out things on an OOC level, all must be at least handwaved to ICly participate in this mission by signing up for duty in either Venera or Godsblood down below. Failure to perform IC will be met with IC punishment.
In addition to their mission duties, the Regent is also ordering all their Kenoma to attempt to lure out and capture as many Pleroma as possible. How they go about this is up to each individual, but the Regent expects that most Pleroma will not be able to resist making an appearance at either location.

He'll be spending his time between guarding Vaeka and hunting down any Pleroma, especially since he has some familiarity with the city and knows of at least a couple of haunts to check on from where he met some the first go-around. Vaeka is actually his priority — that's the direct mission — but thanks to his earlier time in Godsblood he'll be more proactive in hunting down Pleroma than he otherwise would've been, assuming they can spare the manpower.
While Amos was pretty friendly and chill during his first Godsblood visit, he'll be more businesslike this go-around. He'll actually still be fairly amicable, but less inclined to let people go. Like, as far as he's concerned, Vaeka is going to die. And if you're a Pleroma he is going to take you. Them's just the breaks.
So, regarding any potential PVP that could come about as a result of this — I'm all for it, whether it be from Amos guarding Vaeka, capturing a Pleroma, trying to stop any captured Pleroma from being rescued, etc. Normally he would default to just straight up Pleroma murder (it's a lot easier to transport a shard back than a struggling person) but he wouldn't here... unless pushed to it. But if any Pleroma want a free trip back to Achamoth... or not lmao... or want to get captured as a way to try to rescue Vaeka or...
I'm open to just about anything, whatever anyone wants to happen with their characters and whatever would be most fun for everyone — but I do want to plot things out in advance just because Amos can resort to extreme methods very, very early on, so knowing what we're working towards beforehand is a must with him. I'm also looking to thread the needle so that Amos doesn't come across as totally incompetent, even if he does get bested. I'd like him to retain some dignity — although thinking about it, there can be some dignity in dissipation if things go that far...

eiTHER WAY since that can be figured out later if need be, what are Ernesto's strengths when it comes to PVP? Amos' strengths are well. strength, mostly. He's almost exclusively a close-range combat kinda guy at this stage.
no subject
If Amos snags Rand it's probably going to be less of a public skeptical for the masses, so he'll just go right after them. He's also a close range combat guy, though he uses a sword and in this particular scenario won't be holding back blows that could seriously injure Amos (which I assume will be the same in turn from Amos)
no subject
But yeah, Amos isn't gonna hold back either. He's got close-range gravity powers to help him out a little there but Ernesto should probably have the advantage since other than that all Amos really has are fists. I'm guessing he'll be at least somewhat armoured up but he'd have to get a lot closer to Ernesto to inflict any blows, so he'd be mostly on the defensive. I definitely think there's an avenue here for them to have a pretty brutal fight that would result in a rescue but without any dissipations, which I'd really love since that'd set up some real animosity between the two of them going forward.
no subject
Except he's also coming after him with a sword.
Using Ernesto's game stats/way of fighting too, Ernesto is really tanky and takes blows like a champ, so Amos can hit away also. I give full permission, and I do want Amos to get some really good pummeling in, even if by nature of what the thread needs (rescuing Rand), Ernesto has to come out on top in this fight.
I-it's not like I want Amos to send Ernesto off with a ton of bruises and maybe some fractures/broken bones or anything 😳
But yeah, I like that. Things are already starting to boil over a bit with their meetings going a bit worse as they go, so this will be a nice boiling point
no subject
But oh YES on top of many bruises a broken bone can be arranged... arm or leg... how good is Ernesto at fighting with his non-dominant hand because that's a very sexy trope if that works out... Either way though I am extremely into the both of them coming out of this extremely injured. Slash Amos up. Jams was talking about potentially using Misa's petrification powers as a wound cauterizer so hmmm...
But yes. Yessss this is perfect to hit a boiling point. Also thinking ahead to any potential aftermath, they're both Lovers so they can still commune easily lmao...
no subject
UH hmmm... you know? Probably decent, because Ernesto is a lefty, and if things are designed with a handedness in mind, it's usually right handed, so he's probably got some learned dexterity in that hand because of it, so I'm good with Amos snapping his right arm something fierce. Also ohhhhh that's a neat use for that power.
LMAO. I hope that Amos does this to Ernesto:

Alright!! RIP to Ernesto's right arm Amos is gonna give it a nice clean break (so it can probably heal relatively well at least too haha). And otherwise we'll just have general slashing and bruising going on, but maybe Ernesto can hit an artery or something... BUT YEAH it sounds like Misa might be getting involved... Akua has a good relationship with Rand too so it could potentially be a 3v2 thing if you're into that... (I'm sorting this out in multiple plotting comments if you want to check in but if we're all game then...)
AND HAHAHAHA he might. What better way to make it officially clear any good relationship you once had is dead and gone, eh
no subject
That's mighty kind of Amos to do Ernesto this particular favor, and yeah I reached out ask about doing a 2v2 with Akua earlier SO THIS works really well for me honestly.
IMAGINE this all started with Amos thinking that Ernesto seemed like a good guy, and the type that in other circumstances he would and should follow...
no subject
Okay but only if Ernesto gets to fuck Amos up just as bad, at least until Misa petrifies the grievously bleeding wound :') personally I think it would be very sexy of Ernesto to ultimately give Amos a scar from it
HAHAHA RIGHT... he admired him once... how things escalate... at least we got a chill thread or two while they were enemies. what a way for that tentative peace to be shattered though, I'm excited
no subject
I would love for Amos to have a permanent reminder of his best buddy Ernesto on his body u///u I true bond of friendship.
Amos is going to be Ernesto's first proper enemy (besides the Regent) too, and I'm happy for that. He tries so hard to get along with people, and it had to break at some point

Would very much be willing to have him play support in a PVP or something like that. Also maybe wield cool guns with one another?
no subject
Alas no cool guns yet, Amos was... supposed to come back to Godsblood at the end of the month to check in on that LMAO, but support would be dope. Still tentative plans right now but I think I've got Syrlya, Himeka, and Yuuta lined up on Amos' fight card, but I still gotta run around the rest of the plotting post/if you've got anything going with Emet then maybe Amos could jump in there! I'm flexible.
no subject
Secretly I want these two to uncover how ruthless the other can be. 🥺 True way to bond..
no subject
and BIG YES... Showing they speak each other's language... Did you have any solidified plans on that front yet or is that mostly regarding attempts to interrogate Vaeka right now? Amos'll probably show his own degree of ruthlessness in various fights but bringing an unconscious Rand back with him is certainly a piece of tangible evidence that Emet would end up being aware of as well...

I'd be down for potential saving! My PVP plans are still a little wishy washy right now but I do want Amos to get suitably fucked up (but not dissipated, turns out) so he might be in need of some help... or if Howl is... sorry coming back to this so much later dhgidjgkd but if you've got anything solidified where Amos might be able to fit in I'd love to see if there's a way to make it work!
