I would love for them to meet up in the city someplace. I've established Matt more on the seedy nightlife end of things, but he is definitely interested in getting some spa time and in exploration more generally, so kind of anything you can name, I'm sure there's a reason he'd check it out.
I think his headspace is that he takes it ssssseriously, but not necessarily in a way where he'd be angry at her. More like his feelings are genuinely hurt that the Regent went "nah good for you that you stabbed him," and he's gonna process that by blaming himself as much as possible? He's a tangle of poor coping mechanisms.
Now will he TRUST HER, that's an open question ....
