NEW PLAYERS
Welcome to Aion Teleos! This is our CR meme, for old and new players alike to introduce themselves and to begin plotting for the month ahead. As you're settling into the game, here are a few things you should note:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
❖ NEW PLAYER NOTES:
◆ SECT ATTUNEMENT: New characters will have to declare their sect attunements on the Attunement page. Those who are starting in the Kenoma will be attuned as of the start of their introduction, but those who have been taken by the Pleroma may take up until the end of the month to do so. Alternatively, they can attune almost immediately if they are unconflicted about their desire to fight the Regent. The main restriction caused by not attuning to the Pleroma right away will be that unattuned characters cannot travel to the Greentruth rebellion stronghold.
◆ NETWORK (COMMUNION): As soon as a character is attuned to either the Pleroma or the Kenoma, they will be able to access Communion, Aion Teleos's network system. This is written about in the game's info pages, but more details can be found here. This skill can be found by accident or taught by another character.
◆ RETAINERS (KENOMA ONLY): All Kenoma are offered the opportunity to take on an NPC retainer after arriving at the Citadel. This retainer will be an NPC created and played by you. They will be available day and night to attend to your character's needs. These servants understand the Regent largely from a religious perspective and will not have any outspoken anti-Regent sentiments, though they may or may not be nervous about their new master. Generally speaking, though, this is in a new job jitters sort of way, as working in the Citadel is considered to be a job of great cultural and religious significance. They want to do a good job! You are free to develop your retainer's personality and relationship with your character. If your character (or you) are not interested in having a personal retainer, they will instead be served by a rotation of unattached servants.
◆ ALLOWANCES (KENOMA ONLY): They will be given an emerald's worth in jools per month, which is 1000 units. This is about how much a minimum wage worker makes in two months. They will continue receiving spending money on a monthly basis, though the Citadel itself will take care of all of their needs. On an OOC level its safe to say that average city expenditures will be covered by the money they are given, though they are welcome to invest that money in making more money if they have to skills to do so.

CHARACTER INTRO MINGLES
There will be no mod posted mingle log set up for new players; instead, we are encouraging veteran characters to set up mingles in the various game locations. Our reasoning for this is that, at least on the Pleroma side, there is no set mingle point that will be, by default, accessible to all characters, meaning that some IC thought and proactivity will have to go into how best to accommodate them. Additionally, this will be an opportunity for characters to ICly flex their leadership skills and receive IC reputation for doing so.
We won't leave you entirely without direction, though! Below are some ideas to get people started, and to give an idea of what the environment in each location will be. We will be happy to answer any questions and help with logistics where needed. Alongside this, new players are welcome to make their own open posts on the logs comm.

◆ ACHAMOTH: Once new arrivals have accepted the Kenoma, they will be welcomed into the Citadel along with the rest of their kindred. The Citadel's inhabitants are as excited as ever to see fresh Aion faces, and will be quick to prostrate themselves before their new gods. After being assigned their rooms and retainers, new arrivals will be able to explore the city, and will find that they are eagerly greeted by the common folk of Achamoth as well. If they travel openly as Aions, they may be offered small favors or gifts as a show of good will.
One might think the mood would be a bit lower after some recent military casualties and the Kenoma's defeat in Godsblood, but it is not so! Instead, Achamoth is abuzz with the news of a pair of Pleroma captives that are currently facing judgement in the Citadel. Whether or not the Kenoma lost a prisoner in Godsblood, the citizenry are well trained when it comes to spinning a story, and are happily regaling each other with rumors of the Pleroma's spectacular defeats at the hand of their Kenoma captors.
◆ GODSBLOOD: Once the shrines have stopped producing hatchlings, Godsblood will be the first stop for most Pleroma newcomers. By either swimming up through the ocean waters or taking a series of narrow tunnels to the surface, they will find themselves on this edge of this coastal city. While most Aions are capable of blending in thanks to Horos's highly diverse biology, those that are taurs or completely non-mammalian may need some help from other Pleroma to get around without arousing suspicion. Godsblood resists the Regent's control, but it is far from completely safe. Characters may have to work together to find a place to house these new arrivals, whether that be in a safe part of the city or the nearby mountains.
While in the past Godsblood has been skeptical of Aions in general, a recent Pleroma victory within the city has resulted in an air of cautious optimism. While, on average, citizens don't particularly want to earn the Regent's ire, they will be more likely to look the other way if they see any recognizable Pleroma activity. Additionally, there has been a surge of young Bloodites snooping around, looking to join in on potential resistance activities.
Fitting, then, is that it's the moon of the Firebrand's Rise, a summer festival dedicated to celebrating youthful rebellion. In times before its occupation, this festival was also meant to remember various historical riots and political activists, defying tradition in the name of bold new ideals. While the second part is no longer expressed publicly for fear of reprisal, it is still looked to as a time to appreciate the new perspectives of the young. As a city based very much in family tradition, it is easy to become hidebound, and the Firebrand's Rise serves to remind Bloodites that the old is not necessarily the good.
It also results in a lot of teenagers running amuck, taking advantage of the unusual leniency their parents are gifting them. Perhaps it is not so surprising that there are also instances of masked youths publicly decrying the Regent's rule before fleeing into the darkness. Older generations are afraid that things might be getting out of hand, this year.
◆ GREENTRUTH: Only those that have officially attuned to the Pleroma will be able to take the portal to Greentruth, a magical passage hidden in a secure location beneath the city streets. They can be shown the way by those that know it, but discretion is of the utmost concern. Upon arriving in Greentruth, arrivals will find the forest city bustling. Cut off as they are from the rest of Horos, the rescue of Veneran citizens and the Bloodite rebel Vaeka are the talk of Greentruth thanks to their newfound allies in the Pleroma Aions. Vaeka has safely made it to the main settlement and will be in the care of other Resistance members until she sees fit to return to Godsblood.
The month of Firaseri is typically a time of mobilization. Hunting parties go out on great expeditions with faces and hands painted with the sigil of the Firebrand. It is said to bring good luck with the hunt and the kills that they bring back usually last for the months to come. Bones and leather made from these animals is particularly valuable and saved to make armor and charms to be worn to war.
The First Kill is met with much celebration. A largescale feast is held in its honor all across the forest, bringing communities together around a central fire. Stories of battles fought in ancient times are told with varying levels of fancy, but the favorites tend to be about the night that the "dragon's fire turned the moon into a second sun", keeping the Regent's forces at bay. It is common this time of year to keep candles lit in every home throughout the end of the month. "A single flame can spark an inferno."
There will also be an event this month concerning the rescue of the two captured Pleroma mentioned above, in the form of a Pleroma raid against Achamoth. It will be the culmination of a plot that has been going on for a few months which we will be trying to explain in the upcoming event plotting post. In the meantime, we hope that new arrivals can be brought up to speed by their kindred! One might think the mood would be a bit lower after some recent military casualties and the Kenoma's defeat in Godsblood, but it is not so! FUN FACTS: I currently play here with Ernesto Salas (
NAME: Miya Atsumu
CANON: Haikyuu!!
LEGACY: Visionary
SECT: Kenoma
CHARACTER PITCH: Atsumu is a cocky big little shithead jock from an extremely NORMAL world, so normal that magic, wild scifi wonders, and world hopping is the stuff purely of fiction! That's all to say, everything here is going to be a lot for him at first as he adjusts.
His personality is... somewhat unpleasant, but at least he's got decent comedic timing, so that's one likable trait he has going for him. He's self-centered and rude, and he's not likely to be particularly kind to any of his new Kenoma buddies right out the game, especially because he's still reeling from the strange and very distressing reality he finds himself in. As he opens up to people he'll... honestly continue to be pretty unpleasant, but in a friendlier way! Which maybe(???) makes it better. He'll also just keep getting louder too, so that seems like it kind of offsets any positives.
He does do good volleyball though. He does very good volleyball...
DESIRED CR: People to take him under their wing. He doesn't know how to fight, he doesn't know magic, all he has is being tall(ish) and muscly on his side, and that's only going to carry him so far. I also want some of the Kenoma to help try and nudge him further along into the Kenoma belief system. He's joining on because he was left feeling kind of hopeless and desperate at the destruction of his world, and he's hoping that somehow he can get any part of that back in the Regent's new universe, but he's not a doom and gloomer by nature. He'll also balk at some of the extreme violence being done to the Pleroma, and will need someone to coax him along in his spiral down into the Kenoma.
Or just people to give him a hard time, because he's easy to rile up and a pretty easy target. Everyone needs some stress relief, and picking on Atsumu is one I can offer others!
Also some Pleroma to form some kind of connection with if the opportunity ever arises. I don't plan to have him switch sects in the game, but I do like the idea of a bumpy and complicated ride making him feel uncomfortable as he slides his way down to the bottom.
OFFERED CR: Do you want someone easy to bully? He's your man. Do you want someone to bully your easily bullied character? He's also kind of your man actually... Do you want to aggressive adopt a barely likable teenage boy for some wild reason? He's also good at that.
Also someone play sports with him. He misses them...
PLOT HOOKS: I really am looking for a long term corruption plot with him, so if that's something that interests anyone please hit me up.
EVENT PLANS: He is mostly going to be stumbling his way around, freaked out by the public torture displays, and attempting to avoid anyone that lavishes too much attention on him. Help a kid out.
ANYTHING ELSE?

i offer one potential bully?? but kaeya is also easy to get along with in general if you don't hate him off the bat LMAO. even then, he's fairly persistent, so i can make it work either way. yes. hi leigh.

Atsumu will like it less and loudly and angrily fuss every time he's called that, but maybe he shouldn't have been so stupid if he didn't want to be called that?

that said, i do hope they can get a little bit chummy! gen would definitely be up for training atsumu a bit in combat and giving him a few pointers, passing down what he learned from eustace, mostly, and as fellow shitheads i think it would be real cute if they started to become friend a little bit before, y'know, (vague hand gesture)

he would NOT play sports with atsumu im sorry......

WHAT IS EVEN THE POINT OF YOU, MAKOTO?
No, but that would honestly be appreciated. As long as Makoto didn't reveal his totally unhinged hand too early, he might be someone that Atsumu would feel he could ask questions of, and foolishly think as a reasonable person. I can't imagine that will last, but you know...
Also laughing at Makoto just casually revisionist ignoring his own lack of powers coming in to go "UGH WE GOT THE NORMIE??"
no subject
listen... he's okay at acting semi-normal (if not somewhat slimy and demon-y) for at least a little while. it will be fine!! he PERSONALLY thinks he is very reasonable, and he only flies off the handle for completely understandable and relatable reasons? you'll get there one day, little volleyball
;MFADLKGFSDLKGH im not even gonna lie he WILL grouch about it but ya know /: you work with what you got

ALSO ERNESTO. IN THIS COMMENT HERE. THIS IS ERNESTO
NAME: Ernesto Salas
CANON: Arknights
LEGACY: Lover
SECT: Pleroma
CHARACTER PITCH: DOG MAN. Lying dog man who is very friendly and here to help you with both your day to day needs and emotional trauma, just please don't perceive his own. He's a former terrorist (don't worry about it), turned essentially muscle for a paramilitary pharmaceutical company (DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT) who was also a weapons dealer as his side hustle (DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT). Currently he is but a humble spice dog, peddling his wares on the streets of Godsblood.
Also thanks to newly acquired powers from being an Aion, he's a healer.
DESIRED CR: He's doing a great job making enemies of some of the Kenoma now, but I'm happy to have him piss off more! He's also going to be ready to play untrained and unqualified therapist for his friends and newcomers alike as things get really
ruffrough this month.OFFERED CR: He's decent with a sword, and can offer training on that. He could always use more business help for anyone interested in that. He's familiar with Godsblood, and used to also play tour guide in a different city, so is happy to do it for this one. He's also great about scheming, and happy to toss ideas back and forth about how to long term tackle some of the issues the Pleroma is facing.
PLOT HOOKS: He's a planner first and foremost, and will always be working on something or other, because Horos is too wild to allow him to kick back and relax.
EVENT PLANS: He'll largely be prepping for what they're going to be attempting, knowing the odds are heavily stacked against them, and wanting to be well prepared for that. He'll be focusing on obtaining decent weaponry and potential things they can use to bust into Achamoth as easily as possible.
He'll be in the thick of it during the raid too. I have some pre-planned serious injuries for him, so I can't offer big damage or dissipation inflicted ON him, but I can offer fights to Kenoma and healing to Pleroma.
ANYTHING ELSE?

hi... i would like for toge and him to do more things, if only because like. you know. there are now TWO dogs in pleroma? hello?? give paw??? but also he's gotten better about using his shard to talk to others, and he's less afraid of accidentally causing others to Sit. so.

now that you cursed me with the knowledge that he's voiced by mamo, she has no option but to bother him relentlessly?? i'm canonblind to haikyuu but since you've said he has a cocky unpleasant personality, i feel if he is rude to her she'll just be like, not taking him seriously and completely ignoring him being an asshole, as is her #1 talent. i believe in them becoming friends THEY CAN DO IT

Also if it helps his normal way of talking means the Light similarities will probably only occasionally pop out for Misa to whip her head around like a feral dog over. He will almost certainly be kind of rude to her though, and it pains me deeply that Misa will be used to that kind of thing. I hope she takes comedy revenge on him in the course of their growing friendship

I love the idea of Bunny offering him some genuine reassurance, only for someone to go "oh yeah didn't the Regent brainwash that guy and fuck him up really badly after he turned traitor?" so all of that comfort can be immediately rug pulled right out from under his feet
