There are certainly people like this in the Galaxy, people who believe the universe is rotting on life support, people who believe that the only way to fix things is to tear it all down and rebuild it.
That is not entirely wrong, of course. There are elements of corruption and agents of entropy working against the Empire, as they had the Republic before them, but in Vader's mind those are weeds to be plucked and not a rot that requires the sterilization of the entire Galaxy. To say nothing of the fact that what Amos is claiming sounds...unhinged. And this is coming from a man who is a little unhinged himself.]
