undertheweight: (really now?)

To get things absolutely correct, choosing destruction was not a choice at all for Wrathion. Ever since he'd been hatched, he'd been doing his best to try to get out of the Worldbreaker's shadow. He did not want to destroy Azeroth, and he does not want to destroy Horos now. (Even if someone told him destroying Horos would bring Azeroth back, that's diving deep into 'two wrongs don't make a right' territory, and even Wrathion can realize that. While it's true he can be that callous at times, it does not seem likely now.)

The problem here is that if he accepts Pleroma, he becomes beholden to it, in his mind...and even more important to him than protecting the world? It has always been his freedom. Wrathion does not like owing anyone anything. Though he's given it plenty of thought. And it does mean a good deal that Anduin has already done so--of the two of them, Anduin has always found it easy to trust. To be vulnerable, if necessary. And Wrathion does realize he can learn from that--as he has learned from the priest throughout their friendship. Though he is also himself, and generally, a pain in Anduin's ass.

Wrathion tilts his head, then, crimson eyes fixed on Anduin, one brow ridge arched. "Yes, a choice. My choice. I thought you knew me better!" The tone he affects is one of fake mourning, though it's easier to think he's sad because a dragon's face bears less of an expression. "Or maybe I simply needed you to lead me by example?"
