He bows his head as Emet-Selch leaves- he doesn't have the right to stop him, he knows this. All he can do is hold fast to his promise- even if his feet want to run to his friend, even if he wants to plead with him to stay. He turns to the path of light, which seems dimmer now to him- perhaps it's his imagination, knowing that Emet-Selch won't be walking it alongside him.
