cutlery: (chickens definitely improve morale)

[ There's a brief pause before Sebastian answers. He's not considering his response, exactly. He knows exactly what he wants to say. But what's measured is whether to give it.

The wings had made him guess fairy first, since it was simply the sort of stereotypical depiction in human tales of them, but he's pleased to have it confirmed. It's interesting, naturally, since the fae and demons aren't all that far apart, at least in his view of tales about them. They both lived in realms quite separate from humanity, but they both possessed a certain whimsical nature when it came to their proverbial neighbors. They were both bound by rigid rules, but there was nothing so delightful as following them to the precise letter to cleverly step around them.

But where fairies were usually the light, demons were unquestionably only the darkness. They were the abyss itself, creatures that only existed to push humanity to the darkest, most depraved corners of their hearts.

So, wasn't it interesting that a fairy seemed to be intrigued by darkness? He wonders what that even means for him. It's that curiosity and no small amount of his own nature to always push someone closer to the worst parts of their hearts that helps him decide on his response.

Sebastian laughs, and though it's still gentle and polite, there's a darker, velvety tone to it to match his equally (unfittingly) gentle correction. ]

I am a demon with a master.

[ He had decided it was only fair, and it was also just a little bit of his whimsy. A gift of information given means one returned, as is polite by both of their realms' manners. ]
