Miyako Inoue had never liked fighting. She had went to the Digital World on the first time thinking she didn't want to be alone and it was an adventure. Seeing them attacked and her friend kidnapped within minutes had been enough to tell her this wasn't what she wanted - or signed up for. It continued for so long, having to deal with learning she had to fight. Having to learn that sometimes they had to destroy others to survive.
She accepted it. She had.
But they've had peace - in the grander scheme of things - for so long... And the last time. Her skin crawls thinking of that one fight with Alphamon. How one by one her and her group had been taken down, lucky to have survived (kept alive really). She's not strong enough. Not without them.
Some part of her wants to scream and cry, it's her desperate attempt of adult maturity that roots her there. That lets the only indication of too real certainity and fear appear in the way her usually lively expression droops, or the movement of a hand to grip the other elbow. Half a comfort, half to keep shaking.
It's easier to keep other's spirits up than her own, but she knows. ]
