I. LOST IN A DREAM
[ It's a stupid thing for Atsumu to be so upset about, but as his thoughts and awareness slowly begin to fit back into place, he finds himself burning with the same anger he felt earlier that day, when he and his twin had a fight about the choices they were making after high school. As someone who has always been willing to aggressively power his way into achieving his goals, it never occurred to him that he'd ever have to strong-arm his own brother into coming along for the ride with him.
It's that reason, and that reason alone, that as Atsumu starts to storm down this twisting path through the cosmos, that he veers off in the direction of the void. It better suits his sour mood at the moment than a bright, welcoming light does, though it wouldn't be his usual pick. None of it seems to matter much regardless, despite not ever having a lucid dream before in his life, Atsumu has the vague sense that must be what is happening now; he's dreaming a weird dream as he hunches his shoulders forward, a scowl set on his face.
The unreality of the situation might be why it takes awhile for him to realize that the thoughts he's having aren't typical for him. Anger is a natural enough occurrence in Atsumu's day, but this soul-crushing existential dread is new, and it's kind of freaking him out.
He stops walking, head whipping around wildly until he spots a figure moving towards the same destination. Despite his dim awareness that this is a dream, and the curling disgust in his stomach at the sight of the person, he still calls out to them. ]
Hey! What the hell is this thing?
[ He jabs an angry finger towards the void, brows knitting together in confusion. Surely this figment of his sleeping mind can explain the weird symbolism to him, because this is not like any nightmare he's had before. ]
II. LOST IN A NEW WORLD
A. CRYSTALS KINGDOM
[ This may very well be the roughest wake up that Atsumu has ever experienced. He's had plenty of rushed mornings of waking up too late and panic scrambling his way out of bed, but none of those panicked scrambles ever involved literally having to punch his way out of a rock.
He's also never been the sort to sleep au naturel considering he shares a room with his brother, so he's also never had to weakly crawl behind a decent sized crystal to hide himself after waking either.
This is a dream. This has to still be a dream. His heart is hammering in his chest as he tries to calm down from both his fight out of the rock, and the feeling he was left with upon waking back up.
His world rotting away to nothing.
While his stomach ties itself into knots, Atsumu lifts two still wobbly feeling arms and slaps both palms against his cheeks as hard as he can. ]
This ain't even real! Wake up already!!
[ And repeat a few times, before the futility of it starts to dawn on him, and his hands drop back down to his side.
Now red faced, and deeply confused looking, he finally looks around the cavern. It takes a second before his gaze lands on another living figure, whether they're a new arrival like himself or an old timer stopping by to say hello, it's all the same to him. As upset and freaked out as he is by everything that's happening, he still does a good job of managing to sound accusatory. ]
Who are you!?
B. THE KENOMAING [Open to one player only]
[ Well, he's less immediately panicked now, so that's a plus. He's also got some kind of clothing on, even if it's a pathetic robe that he still feels exposed in.
The downside is this stranger just handed him a vile of some nasty black substance and told him to drink it. It doesn't matter how good the sales pitch was prior to this either, because Atsumu doesn't look even the slightest bit convinced. ]
You're outta your mind if you think I'm drinkin' this crap.
[ He'll try to hand it back to them at least, noise crinkling up in disgust.
Looks like a little pressure is going to have to be applied on this one. ]
III. LOST IN THE SAUCE
A. STILL BUFFERING
[ Whoever it was that had the unpleasant task of force-feeding Atsumu the Kenoma like he was a difficult dog who refused to take his pills, the job at least has been done. The goop is coursing through his system, and now that he's been (possibly also forcibly) teleported to the Kenoma's lodestone, he's curled up in on himself looking more miserable than he ever has in his life.
He's cold, and he's still freaked out, and everything he's been told by the other Aions and the various other minions of the Regent haven't done much to make that feeling go away. The smooth, round rock that is embedded into the back of his right hand keeps oozing out the same viscous substance he was force fed, and even that is more pleasant than when the same stuff comes seeping out of his ears or mouth.
He looks like he could use a good 24 hour rest, a warm meal, and some clothing that actually keeps him warm given the way he keeps shivering. This has been going on for close to two days now though, and he's still holding out, so maybe some more pressure needs to be applied. ]
B. FULLY LOADED
[ And then eventually just like that it finally starts to click. The words that keep whispering themselves in his mind, the despair he keeps sinking himself into. Atsumu might not naturally be a gloomy or pessimistic person, but he doesn't have to be. Atsumu's own world might have had it's fair share of problems, but he was largely spared that by being a teenage boy growing up in a place that could provide for his needs, but it's gone now. His world is gone, and if he wants to exist in another one like that, then the answer is pretty obvious, isn't it?
Tear it all down and make it again. He can have the satisfaction and happiness of his old life back if he just plows through some bumpy messes first. That's always been how he does things, right? Push ahead past the rough stuff, and you can accomplish the end you really want to see.
Still feeling weak from having existed for several days dealing with the unforgiving conditions around the Kenoma lodestone, he struggles to push himself off the floor and make his way over to the first person he sees. ]
Hey, you all said if I just accepted that gunk you put in me, I could get outta here, right? Lemme go already then! I'm sick of just sittin' around here!
[ Look, he'll even triumphanly hold up his hand to show his nice shiny, dark gray shard. Clearly this is a prize to be shown off, an accomplishment of all the hard work he went through to accept the Kenoma.
