Estinien is at the edge of the cliff because he's honestly considering his odds, were he to leap into the raging waters below. Maybe the force of it would be enough to break the whip binding him, maybe the confusion in these relatively early moments of their capture would be easiest to exploit. He feels as if time is of the essence, as if he is losing something simply by not acting-

And yet, at the same time, his limbs are sore and frail, his legs doing enough work just to keep him upright. Would he survive the water? Would his binding drag him down? He can't just let this happen-

Suddenly, he's yanked to the side by another one of the prisoners - one that he hasn't had the time or the focus to fully take in the features of. It's familiar, somehow... he should know it, he thinks. He's seen it before. And yet.

"Unhand me," he snarls instead, jerking back against both Emet Selch's pull and the whip around his wrist. This probably has the opposite effect of what was intended.
