( when makoto had still been human, he would've most likely agreed. he would've also turned away from designating himself as one of those good and decent people, of course, but he would acknowledge that it was a quality that could exist in others. years as a demon had warped that, but of course it would. demons are even more predisposed towards selfishness, because it was by stamping their existence upon the world that they ensured they would remain in it (and they were after all in the end... demons). that, and he had only ever seen humans through windows into their lowest points — it was incredibly rare for a human to summon a demon for a contract for good and noble reasons...
