[ In this one particular way only, Ernesto might be kind of innocent. While he's seen people do some pretty awful things, and bloodied his own hands at times, it still hasn't been enough to shake his belief that good people exist. Mind you, he's not deluded enough to believe in some underlying good in all people; it's just that somehow his world hasn't jaded him enough into believe in the fundamental rottenness or even selfishness of humanity.
