Ekko gave the other a confused look. There was a moment where his eyes scanned the teen's face as if searching for a deeper meaning and the moment that it clicked was apparently on Ekko's face as his brows drew together and his expression shifted from the wonder of before to disbelief.

"You're trying to tell me that we're dead?" He shook his head a little. It made no sense if that were the case - he was fine. A broken leg but that was nothing that would land him in some kind of afterlife. He wasn't about to get all up in arms about it though; not when his acquaintance seemed to know how to maybe investigate this quandary.

"How would we do that?"
