Ekko had been too lost in his own vision to notice the other immediately. He was relishing the memories of children playing in the streets, the trouble he used to get up to, inventing new things. Life had been hard but not all of it was bad.
As he continued the dream shifted until he was walking on the branches of an absolutely monumental tree. He had to stop walking as he looked around to try to take in the full scale of the tree and gave a low whistle of appreciation. His attention shifted when someone asked a question and his gaze fell on Eleven. He quickly realized that the other was asking him a question.
"I'm not sure where here even is." He paused, then the last half of what the other said stuck in his head and Ekko's expression shifted to surprise and doubt. "What, you think we're dead?"
