[ It's all he can do but passively watch Estinien fight against his bonds. Even if he was in a better place, mentally, it would still be all he could do. On some level, he suspects they both know it; Amos just jumped from anger to acceptance almost immediately. It spared him more kicks to the ribs, at least.

For all that actually means, considering he doesn't know what's next. Just that it can't be anything good.

So he watches as Estinien is brought back under control. He's still the entire time, ration abandoned, the only signs of life coming from his eyes. He's more present than he wants to be, but just sitting in a camp isn't the worst circumstance ever, so he's here.

Amos blinks in surprise when Estinien speaks again, and then his brows furrow — a real sign that he's listening, that he's engaging. What the fuck is an Etheirys? ]

I don't feel anything.

[ He could mean anything by that. He's not sure what Estinien is referring to, but he does know that emotionally, he's hollow. Has been for most of his life. There's something grotesquely familiar in curling back up in the sensation that kept him going when he was a kid, awful and almost soothing all at once.

Wishes it didn't have to be this way. It does. ]

What am I supposed to be feeling?
