Spock isn't in his uniform now. He hasn't put it back on yet. Or maybe he has and he's lost in the past. It all feels a little off to him, but he's too caught in his own thoughts to question why.

His normally cool demeanor isn't quite up to par, though, and when he hears the name of the ship, the surprise is clear on his face.

"I am Lieutenant Spock of the U.S.S Enterprise and you are not my ship's captain."

Pike's face is one Spock longs to see in this moment. He and Number One come to be a great comfort to Spock in his time aboard the Enterprise, much as he doesn't want to admit that he needs such a thing.
