[ As expected, it blew up in her face. Gray shrinks back against the wall warily, reminded somewhat of Faker's volatile personality. She wonders if it was common for warriors of that time to be so mercurial... or if people of Faker and Mordred's caliber reached such heights because they were aggressively unpredictable. In any case, they give off a very different feel from the coolheaded magi Gray has become used to interacting with.

She stares at Mordred, unaware that she's doing so, trying very hard to make sense of what she's being told. Mordred admired Arthur but was rejected, so Mordred lashed out by killing Arthur and his kingdom? It seems entirely too extreme and not a small bit shortsighted to Gray. Knowing that Mordred lost her life in the endeavor too, did she find it all worth it in the end?

Ah, but now Mordred is already changing topics. Gray blinks at the temperature shift but easily goes along with it. Her hood bobs in answer. ]

There was a statue in my village... A very old one. My mentor seemed to think it was connected to Morgan le Fay, and Sir Kay agreed that he felt her influence...

[ Realizing that she's said something Mordred will probably find curious, Gray continues hurriedly: ]

I-It wasn't Sir Kay himself, but a manifestation of his personality. It's a little complicated.
