[ She says this like it's the simplest, most obvious fact in the world; no different than two plus two equaling four, or the sun rising in the morning. More than anything else, it brooks no disagreement — of all the things she's said so far, this has the most overpowering sense of danger about it, as if challenging her twisted logic is a fast way to meet an even faster end.

It's a good thing, then, that she moves on almost as quickly, demanding a different kind of response from Gray. ]


A long, long time ago, huh... yeah, I get it now. This has her stench all over it. [ What happened after her death — no, after King Arthur's death — had never been her concern, but she knows her mother. (At least, she knows her mother's obsession. How could she not? It's the same one she took as her own, twisted into something unrecognizable along the way; not just once, but twice.) ] Does the name "Morgan le Fay" mean anything to you?
